Bucket Box

Guys,
I would never say you should put people in your bucket. That is very unsafe. Show me I guy with a FEL and I will show you a guy that has had folks in the bucket.

However one day I needed some trees trimmed. I made a bucket box out of scrap wood. The box locks into the bucket with the up right 2 X 6 frame. It then locks down to the bucket with 2 bolts that go through the holes that are for the bucket teeth. It is all glued and screwed. I had my neighbor put me up in it to get a tree off my garage roof. One does feel safe in it. I could really lean out with the chain saw. I do not have the bolts in the photos below.

I would never let my wife put me up there.

I don't think you'll find an insurance company to cover that contraption. I'd probably use it in a bind, but wouldn't make a habit of climbing into it and would never let kids in it, though my ex-wife might be quite welcome to try it.
