Default Figuring model year by serial number

We have a New Holland TC30, believed to be an 05 or 06. Its the older style hood and controls similar to the 1720.

What part of the serial number will tell me the model year?

If your tractor has a 17 character VIN, it's the 10th digit. I don't think Ford/NH used this format in the earlier years. If it starts with an H and not 17, it's older.

How many years did they make the TC30?

TC30 as per tractor Data was 01-08

The Serial number on the tractor is an HK number.
