Nice job. I was thinking about doing the same someday. Just one of many, many projects I need to make/find time for. How's the pump working out?

I tried it out yesterday for the first time.
The transformer would run the pump but the pump would not pump any fuel.
I then hooked up the pump to my truck battery and the pump worked fine transferring the fuel.
Now I am looking for a transformer that will convert 110 volts AC to 12 volts DC.
I don't know what to get or where to find it.
Anybody got any tips?

Yeah, battery charger (trickle-type) or solar cell and a small 12v battery. I doubt you'll be satisfied without the battery. I've tried to power 12v stuff straight off of a charger before, and found that the battery is needed.

You can get it figured out. Necessity is a mother...or something like that.

My brother-in-law powers a bug zapper light over his pond with a small, cheap solar panel that charges a deep cycle battery with a small inverter attached. Free fish feed, he says. Once you get something like that set up, it is virtually maintenance-free.
