Default Tractor Purchase - Case vs New Holland

I am looking at tractors in the 30 HP range and am considering the brands Case and New Holland. (We have dealers for both nearby). I have 35 acres and would use the tractor for bush hogging, dragging a riding arena, moving shavings and manure piles, and some snow removal. Any recommendations as to which brand is preferrable? Thanks.

If I remember correctly, they are pretty much the same tractor.

Hi and welcome to Net Tractor Talk.
I know more people that have new Holland and they've been happy with them. Hopefully some of them will chime in as well as Case owners. I'd sit in both seats and talk to the dealers & check out their service department. All that will weigh into your purchase decision. Good luck and happy tractor shopping.

Pretty sure that they are made in the same factory on the same assembly line. Just have different color and different hood and grill sheet metal. Double check the prices and dealers. Both are very good machines.

that is true, but I thought in the lower horsepower ranges Case was going to stop making them? If I remember right also New Holland had a few more options available to them that Case did not such as Super-Steer.

I thought that Case was going to drop the smaller line also, and maybe they have as far as the under 29HP size. They still had some 35 & 40 hp at the Tulare AG show. I might be wrong, but I think that the super-steer option along with the loader that goes with it are the only options that New Holland has over Case. But like I said, I might be wrong.

New Holland also offers an economy tractor series that CaseIH doesn't, the T1500 series (formerly TC30 and TC35), as well as the new Boomer 8N. The smallest model in the CaseIH lineup is the Farmall 31, with 31 engine hp.

They are the same only the case is usually 2-3k less. This was confirmed to me by my NH dealer today as I'm in the market for something the 40 range. I have a TC25 and need bigger. Looked a both today and both are nice but why pay more for the same machine if it's blue or red. Case dealer aren't going anywhere and have been around the block a few times IMO.

Both are gear models blue 23950 red 21060

I think you will find that pricing will vary from area to area. In our area New Holland was the cheaper of the two.
