Default Rear view mirrors for my 1100?

Does anyone have a source for outside mirrors for a UTV 1100? I get nervous backing into and out of tight spaces with only the rear view mirror on the windshield. You can't really see to the side very well and I don't like the rubbing noise method to know when too close is too close.

I have a 900 and with the full Curtis cab. The doors slide back and don't open out, so outside rear view mirrors were not feasable. I purchased a ski-boat inside rear-view mirror that give a very wide view of the rear. I'll admit that it isn't as good for backing up as outside mirrors, but with the doors that I have, the inside mirror is the best I could come up with.

Bump........ hasn't anyone found a mirrow that would work on this model? I would think someone has a mirrow that would mount on this model. Maybe on the upper door hinge?

SF,

Do a search on this forum for "mirror".
I recall from awhile back people put some mirrors on their 1100.
I believe it was this thread.

Unfortunately, the pictures and some formatting didn't come over when the forums merged so you may see some funny stuff but I think this will point you in the right direction.

Default Mirrows on!

Here are two pictures of the finished installation. Easy and worked great! Took about 20 minutes. They are the Grotes.

Ho boy, that was in 2010. I really don't recall and they don't have any model numbers on them. Maybe just search on Grote? I got them from Amazon.

SF

update: they are Grote #28252-5

I have a pair of Grote mirrors I took off my Kubota RTV1100 2009.

Bought the Kubota versions (picture of Kubota's mirror attached).

Both worked well.

If you are interested in a used set, PM me.

Grote mirrors are available from truck shops.

My opinion;
Grote mirrors are more robust than Kubota version.
Kubota version mounts nicer.

Reason Kubota's version is flimsy, two bolts at the ball pivot on the plastic mirror itself are easily stripped and or to break the tab they go through.

Just my 2 cents.

Brian

Dhatch never replied.

Anyone interested in a set of USED grote mirrors?

Free, but you pay the shipping!!!

Now days that's expensive too.

Mirrors are worth approximately $60 for the set.

Sent a cam to WY, USA recently for $32.00, expect these would be close to that.

Happy Holidays.
