Several weeks ago one of the tie rods snapped off my Warn M6000. After several go arounds with warn I figured out the new parts and fixed it. Thought I'd post some pics of how i mounted it and bumpers on mine for you all to see. Borrowed some ideas from here and thought i'd share what has happened over the last 5-6 years of hard use.

More pics including rear bumper attachement and worlds ugliest shotgun named "squirrelbane" plus silly winch repair i had to do to make new warn aluminum bars work instead of old steel.

The rear bumper comes off with 4 bolts allowing access to oil filters. It uses the 1" square original hitch as a guide/fixture for holding the bumper in place during removal/assembly. Yeah its heavy but don't tell 'bota cause it doesn't notice the extra weight. This bumper has saved my a-- so many time from backing into boulders i lost count.

FWIW Heres a note I sent to Warn:

to Warn
Winch is back on and working Thanks!! FWIW you might want to add a little tech sheet with the parts indicating the change in the part and instructions for installation. For old models like mine you may want to advise the use of 1/4" all thread in lieu of the 5/16" self tapping bolts. Latter are too big to fit thru casing w/o boring holes out.

Vintovka, nice pictures. I'd like to know more about your bed liner. Was it purchased or special made? Aluminum or steel?

I fabricated a wooden drop-in bedline that has worked great for its' 6-months of existence.

Thanks,

Liner is homemade with 3/4 ply and topped with synthetic decking. Tailgate has diamond plate cover and HD chains instead of those wimply cables.

.... I LIKE THAT !!!!!!

..... and hey, I really like the shotgun !!!!! I don't own one of those, Is it for sale ?

squirrellbane is not for sale as was it a joke gift from a friend. He and MR browning are security around here. Someday I'll fix squirrelbanes stock but not soon. As his name implies hes fended off the most vicious of terrorist rodent attacks and never lost a battle.

thats one heavy duty bumper. i like the front how it sits low . i made some add ons to my stock rhino bumper that way it would lay the trees and tall grass down when i run through them rather than just get twisted up around the tires and axles. twoguns you want every gun you see but hey i want every gun i see too.lolnever can have to many guns thats for sure.

Bumper is low cause we have jagged rocks that like to hide in low brush and rip your front end to h--l. The bubblegum welds on the brush guard are the result of a quick fix after a another little downhill mishap. Squirrellbane needed to defend himself again today from another airborne assault from flickers.
