Mahindra 5145 Hyd Filter will not budge

Trying to do 50 Hr filter change. I can not get it to loosen up. Advice?

I bought a new Kioti tractor 12 years ago and the factory paint from painting it had made the filter not just stuck but stuck stuck. This was the hyd filter behind the big rear tire. I had to cut the paint around the filter top edge with a utility knife to get it loose from the metal part of the tractor. I had done the screwdriver thing before that and was just shredding the filter. I hade made a filter remover out of necessity with a piece of chain and a small bolt/nut tightened , leaving a tail of it hanging for a large screwdriver as leverage to pry it like a handled filter wrench . only for removing though because it ruins filters.

I got it off this afternoon. Took a pair of 18 inch vice grips to do it.
