Thx for asking I took the rest housing of the rpm gauge and found a tiny bit of moisture inside I sprayed it with wd 40 let it dry well and put a light grease in called lubriplate I put this on the worm gears as well so far so good

Correct the engine speed did not change but after sitting in the garage for 15 minutes all was normal again till I took it outside agsin

It was only -14cthe rpm’s were at 1500 the throttle was not sticking but after a few minutes outside the rpm gauge went over 3000 and started whining thx for any input

Hi there We bought a used gc2400 a few months ago worked great in mild weather but the rpm gauge would go over 3 in -14 temps bring it back in garage then ten minutes later everything worked great go back outside same issue many said replace rpm cable could have moisture in it or it’s damaged...
