    Glass Windshield on 900

W/S questions I have a 2005 w/ oem glass w/s. No issues w/ glass breakage. However, I did have both locks stress crack. Replaced under warranty. Since then I always leave the w/s unlocked when the RTV900 is parked or not in use.

    Can you identify this pin?

I found this pin laying in the spot I park my RTV900. I have not found a part loose or missing, but I have not removed any of the cover plates underneath yet. Shifting, accelerator, brake, 2WD/4WD levers all seem to work properly. The paint on the pin is a Kubota steel gray color. Before I start...

    Come along

FWIW-Covering distance A while back I stuck my 4WD PU in an open field. Had a good chain come-along but not enough chain or cable to reach an anchor point. I did have some short pieces of chain and a sharp axe. I cut several tall light pine trees and chained together enough to reach the anchor...

Extra storage space in the RTV900 bed

I am considering fabricating a "false bottom" in the bed with two or three longitudal sliding drawers. Drawer depth approx four inches. Anyone have ideas or feedback. I do not want to lose space on the width nor on the length of the bed. The drawers will store tools, ammo, firearms/bows, or...

    Power Inverter usage

Cables are sold separately at Harbor Freight. I planned to use some old welding cable and make my own set. I like the idea of the marine batt/box set-up. Thanks

    Power Inverter usage

I have been given a 2000 watt Harbor Freight power inverter. Have any of you installed and used a comparable size inverter on the RTV? If so, did you add extra battery(ies)? What types of tools or appliances did you power? Is there any danger of discharging the vehicle battery to where the...

Mods The mirrors are 1981 Jeep CJ7. They are available from discountmirrors.com and carpartswholesale.com. You will have to modify the arm on the passenger side mirror- entails cutting the bracket hole off and re-drilling at a different angle. The tray is the "behind the seat tool tray" from...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The rack was fabricated using a Champion ATV basket (two basket set and I used the larger basket for the RTV and the smaller basket for my EZGO sporting clays cart). One inch square tubing to make the basket supports. It tilts forward approx 45 degrees for access to the front compartment.

    Off Road lighting

Nite Lites I have the RTV900. The 55 watt halogen rectangular lights from China (i.e.,Harbor Freight or most any auto parts store) have been my best buy for the light given. Cost was in the $10-15 range per pair. If you have the plastic roof, you will probably need some type of grounded metal...

    moving the air intake

Old timers v.s. CHS (Can't hear shots) Looks like you are using a larger diameter pipe for the 2.5" inlet. Mine is the H002040 @ 2.00" inlet. I would like to help you with the beeper but I wouldn't ever know if it was beeping or not! Huh! Whadda say! However, being hearing impaired also permits...

Filter cannister cover Something else I found useful was to safety wire the cannister cover snaps. I did so after nearly losing mine (apparently some brush snagged the wire clip and popped it loose). Captain
