    Oil field pipe value ?

Cowboy, I read this thread when originally posted. I'm surprised you haven't sold the pipe. It is high as a cat's back in price in this neck of the woods. Sucker pipe? I spent most of my life as an oil field welder and never heard that. Sucker rod, yes. Tubing, yes. Guess it's an area thing...

    Welders ?

Nice ideas on the pullers. After the wheel pulled off the hub I would have just sliced the hub off the axle with a cutting torch.

    Need a new weed whacker

I finally bought an Echo early last summer after firing up my Ryobi once. The next time I tried to start the Ryobi I found the PLASTIC choke shaft had viberated out of the PLASTIC carburetor housing and disappeared in the weeds somewhere. Made a trip to the local small engine shop. Tom didn't...

How to fix a cracked BX24 (Plastic) Fender

In the ATV world you see a lot of cracked fenders repaired with zip ties. Drill a series of holes down each side of the crack and lace the ties across or in an X pattern. It works but I consider it really UGLY. It seems to be kind of an honor thing with the young guys. "Hey, I ride so hard I...

    Welders ?

I never tried to find out the manufacturer. I have never seen anything made by Lincoln that resembled it but Wards and Sears had various things built back then that weren't simply rebadged products so I don't know. I do know that it has been a very good machine. I forget but I think it was...

    Welders ?

California, that is the same machine I have. The finish on mine is in a little better shape. Mine has a 325 amp DC converter (rectifier) sitting on top of it which came from Wards. When I bought it the salesman told me it was made by Lincoln for Wards. I had to do one repair to mine years ago...

    Welders ?

Slang for a 220volt AC welder in the old days. No one made a 110 volt welder then. What is now called a buzz box.

    Gas Cutting

Take your torch, turn on only the oxygen, take your striker and try to get it to burn. Good luck.

    Welders ?

I have been a member for quite a while but hardly ever post. I'll get in on the welder thing. I welded for a living for forty years but am retired now. I have a 230 amp crackerbox with a DC converter that I bought in the '60s. I also have a Lincoln Weldpak 100 that I use for really little...

    Gas Cutting

I hardly ever post on this forum but I'm going to chime in on this. Acetylene becomes unstable above 15# when in a gaseous state. It is desolved in acetone when it is still in the bottle and is stable. Acetylene should never be used from a bottle laying on it's side as that draws acetone from...

    I'm Confused

This is definately an old thread but I'm always curious about oil questions. I dug out the manual on my little B7510 to see if I remembered right and I did. It states to change both the filter and fluid at 50 hours. Next change is at 300 hours and each change thereafter at 300 hours intervals...

Home made weight for a Kubota.

I completely fill it. It's hard to see in the picture but there is half of a 1 1/4" pipe collar welded on top of the tank right behind where the top link attaches. The is half of a 1/2" pipe collar welded on each end to drain the tank in winter. I toyed with filling it 50-50 with anti-freeze...

Home made weight for a Kubota.

Been awhile since I've been around the forum but I thought I would post a picture of a tank I built for additional weight for my little Kubota. The tank is made from a piece of 16" OD 3/8" wall pipe. Ends are 3/16" plate and the frame is 3" sch 40 pipe loaded with 3/4" sucker rod before the 1/4"...

Hello, everyone. I'm a retired welder and need something to occupy the cold days. I grew up driving tractors and still enjoy using them. I recently bought a small Kubota to help me keep up with chores around the place.
