    RTV-X1100C noise with snowblower

Update on the issue... the main belt (the one for the alternator, fan, etc.) was very loose. I did tight it and it fixed all issues!

    RTV-X1100C noise with snowblower

No sound when the engine is off. I'll try to tighten the fan belt since I replaced it this past summer.

@aurthuritis Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow and report back my findings.

    RTV-X1100C noise with snowblower

@aurthuritis Thanks for your response. The fan is in contact with nothing and regarding the driveshaft/PTO, no noise is coming from it. The snowblower connected to the PTO works perfectly and makes no noise. It's just when I activate the K-Connect pump to lower/raise the snowblower, or change...

    RTV-X1100C noise with snowblower

@rbarger Unfortunately no - the steering was not moving when I took the video. Also, that noise was not present in the past few years, only this year.

    RTV-X1100C noise with snowblower

Hi, I've had my RTV for a few years and everything has been running smoothly. I've installed the K-Connect snowblower a few days ago and whenever I lift it up, lower it, turn around the snow thrower anything else it makes an annoying sound which seems to come nearby the alternator. I've made a...

    RTV 1100C PTO-driven wood chipper

I was wondering if the Kubota RTC 1100C's PTO would be powerful enough to run a small PTO-driven wood chipper - something like that: https://woodlandmills.ca/tfg55-pto-5-wood-chipper/ Looks like the weight (346 lbs) is almost identical to the K-Connect snowblower (340 lbs) so that shouldn't be...

    2021 RTV-X1100C overheating / fan belt problem

Yes I am, in Quebec/Canada. Maybe it's the AC belt? I'll do some research.

@aurthuritis Many thanks for the steps! Would you happen to know what the belt pointed by the green arrow is for? Thanks!

    2021 RTV-X1100C overheating / fan belt problem

@aurthuritis Many thanks for your response. Indeed only 96 hours, but I guess that's what happen when the belt was not installed correctly after so many hours... Please look at the attached picture. I don't think I can remove the fan belt (pointed by red arrow) without removing the other belt...

    2021 RTV-X1100C overheating / fan belt problem

Hi, My RTV has about 96 hours on it, and has often made that annoying hissing noise. This morning, after starting it to remove the snow in my driveway, it overheated 2 mins after being started. Turned off the machine. Checked coolant levels in both rads (in front of the RTV and near the...

    Hissing sound when driving around

@Mork Yep - that's where I sprayed the Fluid Film from. But how did you tightened the belt?

    Hissing sound when driving around

@Mork Thanks for your response! I'll investigate that route and try to find some info on how to do that. In the meantime, I've sprayed a lot more Fluid Film 2 days ago and used the RTV for a couple of hours yesterday - I never heard a single thing.

    Hissing sound when driving around

So I bought a can of Fluid Film and did spray it on the belt when the engine was running. Went for a quick drive - at 50% throttle, no hissing sound. At full throttle, continuous hissing sound. My machine doesn't even have 50 hours - it has 25 hours and less than 100km :-/
