I was wondering if the Kubota RTC 1100C's PTO would be powerful enough to run a small PTO-driven wood chipper - something like that: https://woodlandmills.ca/tfg55-pto-5-wood-chipper/
Looks like the weight (346 lbs) is almost identical to the K-Connect snowblower (340 lbs) so that shouldn't be...
@aurthuritis Many thanks for your response. Indeed only 96 hours, but I guess that's what happen when the belt was not installed correctly after so many hours...
Please look at the attached picture. I don't think I can remove the fan belt (pointed by red arrow) without removing the other belt...
Hi,
My RTV has about 96 hours on it, and has often made that annoying hissing noise. This morning, after starting it to remove the snow in my driveway, it overheated 2 mins after being started. Turned off the machine. Checked coolant levels in both rads (in front of the RTV and near the...
@Mork Thanks for your response! I'll investigate that route and try to find some info on how to do that.
In the meantime, I've sprayed a lot more Fluid Film 2 days ago and used the RTV for a couple of hours yesterday - I never heard a single thing.
So I bought a can of Fluid Film and did spray it on the belt when the engine was running. Went for a quick drive - at 50% throttle, no hissing sound. At full throttle, continuous hissing sound. My machine doesn't even have 50 hours - it has 25 hours and less than 100km :-/
Sorry if it took me a couple of days to check things out.
Yes the belt seems snug but there is a fair amount of dust around the pulleys. The RTV is a 2020 and the warranty ended about 3 months ago.
Should I spray some soapy water on the belt and pulleys to clean them up while the engine runs...
@ItBmine Thanks for your response. I was just about to write an update and suggest that. I've checked the fluid level, all fine. The exhaust, all fine. Could it be the belt being a bit dirty? I've used the RTV with a lot of dust around (carrying dried top soil, etc.).
If so, what's the best way...
Hi,
I have a almost brand new 1100XC with less than 50 hours on it. When I start it and drive around when it's "cold", it doesn't make any hissing sound. After a few minutes a few minutes of running, it starts doing this extremely annoying hissing sound.
I took a video a few minutes ago...
Hi,
Winter is over here (even if we got snow again last week :/) and I've the slowblower with the bumper + winch on my X1100C.
I was wondering how hard is it to remove all the PTO assembly underneath the RTV? I have to get in the woods to do some cleaning and extract lugs and the PTO assembly...
