Never was much for fixing something that isn't broken.

New to me RTVX-1100c No power on inclines

Art, maybe I'm oversimplifying a complex issue due to lack of knowledge, but it seems the logical approach is to make sure the engine is running at full potential, then yank the hand throttle all the way out and check the operation of the hydrostat. Lastly worry about synchronizing the two. I...

    Reusing New Torqued Head Gasket

Shimming to solder "crush" would leave zero clearance. Leaving out the head gasket while performing the clearance check seems more reasonable.

    Reusing New Torqued Head Gasket

I agree with Art. Once compressed it cannot be reused.

    Front Locker for X1120?

They have a limited slip front diff. Jack one wheel up and spin it. Should feel some drag. If it spins freely, you may have bad clutches. Mine works well.

    K-Connect

I used a Dingo to excavate a large crawlspace for a school renovation project. Impressive machine. Much better than the crappy Boxer we tried to use. I wish I had a quarter for every time I banged my head on a floor joist.

You seem to understand what I'm wanting to know Art. My buggy is an "X". Bought it Dec 2016. Power would have to come from the front unless the hydrostat has a place to install a PTO. I don't see anything like that. From the illustration in the operators manual, there seems to be some type of...

    K-Connect

I don't care about attaching a blower or broom. In fact, I only need the shaft to power a hydraulic pump for a firewood processor or a inverter generator. There must be a way to disengage the engine from the gearbox and drive shaft. A drive gear, counter gear and driven gear, plus a drive shaft...

    K-Connect

I'm a heavy equipment mechanic, so my issue isn't how to install it. Just wrap my head around how it works. From what I see, it drives from the front of the crank. How it is engaged and disengaged?

    K-Connect

Still confused. I'm referring to a 1100 C RTV, not a tractor. Kubota shows an image of the unit in a brochure, but no explanation of how it's installed. It has a gearbox tower on the driven end, with some type of control lever on top. I assume it drives from the front of the engine. Second...

    K-Connect

The best kept secret on the planet. How is hell does the system work? Drive off the front of the engine? A method to engage and disengage? Installation info?

    RTVXG850 pedal upgrade

Yep, not a 1100. 850 a gasser? Had a Arctic Cat Prowler with belt drive. Total POS and gas hog. No belts for me. Gas is $8 a gallon in the vil. Heating fuel is $6.

    RTVXG850 pedal upgrade

I run my machine at high idle. Foot feed is only controlling the hydro at slow speeds. Add a little power brake when finessing delicate tasks.

    Front Crank Seal Failures

Kubota is poorly represented in Alaska. Any ideas who I can contact in the lower 48?

    Front Crank Seal Failures

Everything looked fine. The sealing lip was tore away from the seal. I'm thinking these seals are not designed for extreme cold starts. I live in an Alaska bush village and my Kubota is my only transportation in the winter. I avoid starting it at temps lower than 30 below. I have two pan heaters...
