Trouble in keeping running in cold

Congrats! Glad it worked. Amazing how a plugged filter can goof everything up. Glad you're back up and running. Plow on! :)

Yes, my RTV ran a 32430 filter and I always used a 3300 Bosch. Good luck.

    oil and fuel filter question

I use a Bosch 3300 oil filter on all of my orange equipment. A few more bucks than a Fram, but had bad luck with them! Saves me a trip to the dealership. Hydro filters, on the other hand, are all straight from Kubota!

Trouble in keeping running in cold

Also...plugging your unit in will not help with frozen, gelled, or waxed fuel. That just keeps the coolant, block, and oil warm. There isn't a fuel heater in these. Quality of fuel is very important, and we keep getting the short end of the stick from distributors. If you're freezing up at...

Trouble in keeping running in cold

Personally, I run Stanadyne. Recently they started selling the stuff in Autozone but I buy it online. I like it as a treatment because it's a Demulsifier, which means it separates the water particles from the fuel so the water fuel separator can do it's job. Power service, which took me a year...

    JD 1010 with rusty rings

X2, I've had good luck with PB blaster as well. Spray it in, let it sit overnight, roll it by hand first, if it's good and free, start it up. If that doesn't free it up, you may have to do it a few times. Unless they're totally caked with rust they should come free.

Don't have remorse, you've still got a great machine. Legally I don't think you can do anything about it...but one good phone call to the guy, if nothing else, will make him think the next time he does it. Even if he says no to giving you $$ back, at least you know you tried. Dad always told...

    Coolant Leak-Rtv 1100

X2! I hate cooling system leaks. When you check the ends of the hoses, I like to spray the end of them off with brake parts cleaner. It leaves the hoses dry at the end. Then run it for a couple of hours and check the hose ends again. If any of them have anything but a dry end...you have...

No it would be a 2013. It started over with letters in 2010 with A. Every year, it went up one. Hope this helps.

Yes, still got a great deal if you ask me as well... I'd be sure to call the previous owner again and try and get some $$ back. It's worth the phone call, the worst thing he can say is no! Even if he said no, you've got a great machine that will last you years. I had more hours in a half a...

If your machine has a slip on arrestor, I'd be checking the date it was made. Not that it makes much of a difference, at this point, but good to know what year it is. :) I cut my idle back on mine as well. It's a bit tricky to get to at the very front of the motor. If I recall correctly...
