I love the amsteel but I worry about rubbing it on logs and the steel on the trailer. Do I need to get a mount or does the winch bolt right into the bota "cubby"??

Its time to get a winch. I'm going to be dragging logs with it so I will spring for the biggest one I can fit on my bota. Do I need to get a mounting plate and what is the general consensus on winches?

Thanks a lot. I use mine mostly for firewood and hunting. She's handy to have around. I just added front and rear windshields and the cab heater will be done soon. I've just started looking for a winch... Any suggestions?

I have an 05 900 w/ 1100 hours on it. I hope to check out other peoples rigs and learn more about these things.
