Local dealer called me just before the end of the year about the ball joint recall (2024 x1100c), scheduled a pickup and returned the next day. I didn't ask about details so can't help there much. It was a few days between call and pick-up, but they never mentioned anything about not using it...

maybe these will help. Let us know if you figure it out. The jpg only confirms that it is not wired to a switch/relay by default. If I downloaded the correct owner's manual, it does tell you how to wire it up and also has a drawing showing the layout of the harness.
