I feel your pain!
Not a RTV X900 but froma 2007 RTV900 - - also had to replace this about 4 yrs ago. Old is on the left, new on the right. Those pistons are removeable - Wondering if the pistons are the same size?
If so perhaps we can work something out.
Thanks for the prompt and useful information Mick. Looks like a complete teardown to solve the problem is underway. Hoping that you find the solution and keep us posted...thats a lot of work you have done so far!
Thanks for the tip!
My RTV900 is also showing signs of slowing down with ~2200 hrs. Do you have a picture of this hose on a location in the service manual to find it?
Thanks
Good list - thanks for taking the time to put this in an easily accessible spot!
Consider adding:
Fuel pump(s)
Battery replacements / selections
Muffler/exhaust cleaning/fouled up
Bummer! Any posibility that you have water in the diesel fuel? When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? I'd consider changing the fuel filter - fill the housing with seafoam prior to install to also held clean injectors.

Interesting - but frustrating I'm sure. On my RTV 900 (2007 model) the same plug needed to have the wires swapped to mate to the fuel pump connector. That said - - 12V (measured with VOM) was present ONLY when the key was turned on... a good thing since the elec pump shuts off when the key is off
Agree with BCzoom - - you could "hot wire" the battery directly to the starter solenoid to check if the starter is bad. Did you check fuses visually or with a VOM (volt ohm meter)?
Nope!
Just do the install - make sure to check the polarity form the Kubota connector to deliver positive to the positive lead on the fuel pump....I had to reverse the connector on mine. No big deal but check. Since the pump is electric it will purge the line of air when you turn the ky on...
Possibl bad or faulty ground? Check/clean neg terminal/post on batt and clean chasis ground strap? I've had this problem before - hi current draw units would not work but low current draw would.
I need to install an electric fuel pump on a 2011 RTV1100. Can anyone share some pictures on where is a good install location and where to tap into the aux wiring connector?
Thanks
Welcome homestead342!
Yep - you will need to remove the entire axle assembly to repair/replace either one or both of those hub bearings. Not a fun job - speaking from experience and all of the great posts on this forum. There are some good videos on the replacement - - be sure to mark the...
Thanks all for the prompt and helpful replies - - - unit is located in Southwest VA - close to Blacksburg.
Doc - agree with your comment - - no real hurry to sell, but I'd like this person to get as much as possible - I'm not taking any fee just helping out a friend that is not familiar with...
