Thank you. Unfortunately I am thinking it is beyond just removing the front drive shaft and is going to require taking apart the transfer case. Wondering if anyone on here has experience pulling the transfer case and transmission without pulling out the motor as well?
Adding another update, hoping someone can point me in the right direction on this. I jacked up all four tires and put it on stands and still had no luck getting the 4wd to engage. Front Drive shaft spins freely. I did bull the sensor and the top of the transfer case and can see the fork for...
I have the pre-x series, I believe around a 2011. One thing I did notice when taking out the bolt behind the engagement shaft is the indent ball and spring are missing which I believe is what holds the fork engaged. However that still doesnt explain why it would no longer engage into 4wd
Hello All-- I was out plowing this morning and my rtv slipped out of 4WD and would not re-engage. I have had issues since owning this RTV (i am the 2nd owner and got it with around 1600hrs) where the 2wd/4wd engagement lever would fall down and disengage 4wd to the point where I normally have...
Thanks-i finally got enough snow to get out and plow with the 1100 and have a whole new appreciation for what it can do!
one issue I am having is the 4wd lever keeps sliding back and preventing it from staying engaged in 4wd-is there an adjustment for this?
The hill is about 1/10 mile long and i keep it in Medium. I will start out coming down a small grade in front of it at full throttle and will hold around 15 mph at the beginning of the hill but drop to about 7mph by the top of it. Im not sure of the grade it is a driveway but fairly steep. My...
Sorry again for the delay. I was able to change all the hydraulic fluid and filters and also replace the coolant line running from the hydraulic filter to the block (it had been pinched by the skid plates)
overall it does feel like its running and shifting a little better but I havent noticed...
Sorry for they delay! Im going to change the fluids this week.
I was going over a few other things this week and removed the skid plates which had definitely served there purpose and noticed one of the hydraulic cooler lines had been pinched by the skid plate. So I ordered a new coolant line...
Thanks! It seems to hold speed pretty well on relatively flat ground. I primarily run it in Medium due to the hills we have and will often have it where it begins climbing well if i start at a decent speed but feels like it continues to drop power as it climbs
Got it, thank you! I did use all Kubota brand filters and only used harvest king for the fluid but I will pick up some kubota udt 2 and change the fluid
Ok thanks I will test it and see what I come up with. I used Harvest King brand hydraulic fluid which is called out as Super UDT fluid. The manual I have calls for Super UDT should I be using Super UDT 2 instead?
Thanks for the reply! Yes I have replaced fluids and filters.
not sure of the max rpm at full throttle. Are you able to hook a scanner up to these for rpm readings since they dont have a tach?
Hi There!
I recently bought a 2014 rtv 1100 with about 1600 hours on it.
I dont have any maintenance records on it and it looks to be well-used by the previous owner but runs well over all.
One of the biggest issues I have noticed is the general lack of power when going up any sort of incline...
