    New RTV owner

Not sure of the cost, but I have the OEM heater that works great. Keeps me warm while plowing.

    Newbie just bought 2010 rtv900...

calchef, You have a good looking machine that isn't even past it's break-in period! You might have been told the wrong year, but from what I see, you didn't over pay. It was an awesome deal for a 2010, it IS a great deal on an '06 with less than 150 hours. Enjoy Rich

    Newbie just bought 2010 rtv900...

Cal chef, Welcome to the forum and congrats on the nice looking RTV. I agree with Kiefer and OrangeBuggy about loading it on the trailer backwards. One other thing for those with the plastic bed liners, mine went airborne on the freeway @ 65MPH. Two of the mounting screws had fallen out and two...

Kubota RTV 900 blowing hydro filter

I found this post in an old thread about adjusting the relief valve. http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12616&highlight=coast+valve+adjustment Hope it helps, Rich

    Getting Ready for Winter

628, My 05 900 has the OEM heater and it works great. When it's below zero, I keep the jacket on, but most of the time the jackets off and I have to open the window a little when plowing. You have to give up a cup holder for the defroster vent, but it's easy to put the coffee in the passenger...

    No brakes

Dennis, There wasn't any pitting, scoring, or visible damage to the piston O-rings. The very fine air bubbles and the pressurized hub are the only things that make me think that the O-rings failed in the right hub. Everything looked factory fresh, and well designed. Heck, each piston has 4...

    No brakes

The brakes on my '05 900 (with a coast valve installed) started feeling soft this spring, then it got to the point where the first push on the pedal went to floor. 2nd or 3rd pump would slow it down. I didn't mind it, but the Mrs. didn't care for it at all, so it got moved up on the 'to-do'...

    RTV900 Hydraulic Bed Lift

Kaos, The same thing happened to me this past winter with the gas line to my BBQ that's hooked to Natural Gas. I was ready to throw out the grill when I bumped the hose and it came apart! Good luck with your new RTV and don't forget to post pictures when you get it home. Rich

    RTV900 Hydraulic Bed Lift

Now that we've figured out that there really is a float position for the hydraulic control, I feel the need to take the conversation back to the original topic...... Kaos, What was the 'minor hydraulic line issue' that you found causing the problem? Your discovery might help one of us in the...

    RTV900 Hydraulic Bed Lift

My '05 locks in the float when you push the handle all the way forward. I also found out a couple of years ago that it's not a good idea to sit on the tailgate when it's locked in the float position !! Rich

    RTV900 Hydraulic Bed Lift

Just in case your not familiar with hydraulic quick connects. Turn off the engine and cycle the bed lift lever a couple of times to release the pressure in the hoses before you try to connect or disconnect.

    RTV900 Hydraulic Bed Lift

Kaos, Welcome to the forum. Just a thought, I have an '05 and the dump bed doesn't work when the snow plow is hooked up because they use the same hydraulic quick coupling ports in the rear of the 'bota. Might be that the hoses aren't plugged in!!! I don't think the auxiliary hydraulics run...

    RTV won't start

Brok, My RTV is an 05. If you push the dump handle all the way down it will stay in the 'float' position which will let you raise the bed by hand. There should be a safety prop that fits over the hydraulic cylinder to hold it up. On the '05 it's held in place by a cable and is stored on top of...

    RTV won't start

Search the forum for 'Neutral Safety Switch' for ideas. Some people have had faulty safety switches, which can be tested by grounding out the wire connected to it. Others have found that starters needed servicing after getting wet. Some of the testing might require a second set of hands, just...

    RTV 900 Front Axle

I thought I'd share this service info to hopefully help someone avoid an expensive repair. My 2005 900R has 686hrs with no signs of oil leaks from anywhere. After finishing the annual engine/trans oil & filter change, I realized I had missed the 400 hour service to the front gear case. I didn't...
