Do a google search for MF135 4wd. I remember recently seeing someone who already succeeded in that modification to a 135. They would be the one to talk to. Good Luck. And if it doesnt work out, there are many other ways to improve a 2wd in soft ground.

Rackmaster, Does it cover the mfwd? I just got a 253, very similiar to your 263 and my manual is 2wd only. I am needing to fix my 4wd. Let me know, Thanks

I cant tell from parts manual (vague illustation) if my final drive gear is suposed to be chamfered or if that is wear. I just bought tractor as is, with front wheel fell off last fall. Service manual i have is 2wd only. Any help appreciated. Pic below.
