    Chainsaw Mill

While you may have a chainsaw, you need a really big chainsaw if you want any speed or want to make a few guts a day without blowing it up. At least 90cc but 120cc is better. You do not need another chain, but the ripping chain will leave a smother cut.

    Kubota front axle seals

HI, Out at the barn this weekend and noticed a fair bit of fluid draining from the bottom of one of my front axle portals. A quick inspection confirmed the bottom cap had popped off much like a freeze plug and that the other side was popped as well, but no fluid telling me I missed that one and...

    Gas Cutting

If you are ever bored on the 4th of July, go get some helium balloons and attach them to a plastic trash bag and fill it with oxygen and then a whistle of acetylene. Then attach a wick, light and release. Make sure it is a long wick because you will blow out windows and have the police visit...

How do you sharpen your mower blades?

Doc, You can get far more reputable grinders for not a whole lot more at your local box store. Makita comes to mind. I have a milwaukee 4-1/2 that I have had for 15 years. My logic is a $20 tool that will last you the summer (if you are lucky) is not a better deal than a $80 tool that will...

Hi, I can always take them off, but does anyone leave the blades on and hit them with a die grinder or something?

    Alternator question

HI, This alternator is on a LUll telehandler, but it is not working. I took a meter and can't seem to get much out of it when it is running , but where would I check? I assume it would give me 14+ volts between the bottom bolt obviously grounded and one of the top two, but no go. Any...

    Lawn Chief 7HP

Funny how you can't seem to buy a lawn tractor under 18 horses these days but back in the day there were lot of 5-8 horse rigs and some 10-14 horse machines that could do some serious work.

    Cub Cadet 149 Question

Thanks Doc, I did see one where the guy took the the PTO and put a pump on that, but it seems hydrostatic drives have some hydro power. The old CUbs had something a little bit more stout than needed and maybe they have more hydropower, but I don't even know where to tap in. Hopefully...

    Boom pole

I will add that they can lift 1000+ pounds but laterally they don't take abuse very well. More than one has been folded sideways on a fence post.
