We’ll it could have been much worse. Rod is bent and piston was hitting the crankshaft counter weights. Cylinder ok just needs surface hone Crank shaft journals ok Still waiting to hear back from machine shop and I really need to inspect this block well to make sure there’s no cracks in it

And she’s gone… Off to do more work on a 100 acre farm. Posted on CL for $16k sold in less than an hour for $15k Hawaii prices may be different than the mainland things tend to sell for higher out here.

Don’t be sorry. When you get these things for dirt cheap gotta expect some bigger repairs. I’m interested to see the condition of the crankshaft journal.

That’s what I’m suspecting. Also the reason I took the head and head gasket into the machine shop today. I’m also gonna attempt to pull the engine without removing the gear case and the HST 🤞🏽

Update: So I narrowed the white smoke down to Cyl3 cracked the fuel line and smoke went away. Low compression not firing. Pulled the cylinder head and found slight coolant on the inside of valve cover and inside the intake manifold. Pistons are proud of the deck on 1 and 2 Piston on 3 never...

Just wanted to update everyone. The transmission has been operating flawlessly for a few weeks now. Running a high pressure of 3700-3800 psi I’m very happy with the outcome.

That seems like the best first step. Is the D902 engine common for having nozzle/injector issues?

2017 Kubota RTV-X900 1100 hrs I’m having this issue the engine will fire right up. It’s billowing white smoke out the exhaust pipe and knocking very loud. Also seems to be running rough. Wondered if anyone else has had this issue and what should I check first with these symptoms? Thank you

Do you know what the Tuff Torq model number is for the HST? That just shows a Kubota part number.

Wow that is a lot! Have you drained the gearbox fluid and inspected that? Mine had a lot of micro metal almost looked like break in material.
