    Rtv 900 pump upgrade

Pump upgrade Richard, that 'log lifter' on your machine must take most of the fun out of lifting those 80-90 lb chunks to splitting area?On a more serious note , how could I add this feature to my splitter? Explain how it work. Would I need another , separate valve and another cylinder? I have...

    Rtv 900 pump upgrade

Border Collie, do you remember the size of the oil cooler lines you used on your installation ? 1/2, 5/8, etc. if I get bored someday, I may just install a cooler on mine. Did you say the cooler alone would have been enough, with out the fan? I am bad about overkill too.

    Rtv 900 pump upgrade

Well, now we have some first hand experience. Does your 900 worksite have the optional utility valve? Or do you just unhook dump bed and use those ports? What model Wallenstein do you have? Thanks so much for chiming in. At least now I know it is possible to use rtv hydraulics to power a splitter.

    Rtv 900 pump upgrade

Hyd pump Wow!! What a set up . You are probably right. I was more or less trying to figure out a way to utilize my hydraulics for more than occasionally raising the dump bed! I will probably follow your duggestions. Biggest problem is I am 77 yrs old and lifting those chunks of logs gets old...

    Rtv 900 pump upgrade

I'm considering using oem hydraulics on my 05 rtv 900 to power a wood splitter and would like to upgrade, or replace, my hyd pump. 7-8 hom would be enough , I think. Does anyone know of a place that beefs up our little 5 gpm pump ? Thanks for any and all suggestions.should read 7-8 gpm, not hom!
