If it's an oil bath type chain, any good gear oil will work.

Motorcycle chain lube works great.

Coasting is not the problem with the BX series, it's the abrupt stop. With an educated foot you learn to start backing off before you come to having to stop or go into reverse. Takes a little practice but it's doable.

I've just learned to be less abrupt when changing directions. The problem can be minimized if you practice at it. I still have it happen from time to time but not like when me and my BX 2230 were getting acquainted.

Wild or feral pets are a problem for everyone. One minute there a mans best friend, the next they are your worst nightmare. Coyotes are blamed the most and take the brunt of retaliation because no one believes their "Fido" would do something like that.

No reason to get a Shindaiwa when there is Husky and Stihl. Thats all loggers use up here in the frozen north. Whats that tell you?

BX2230 With 60" MMM and 48"snow blower $8,600 w/tax. It had 256 hr on it.

I purchased a '04 BX2230 this spring, and after using it a few times found that the seat was miserable to sit in. Heard that Messick's had replacements for $100 and jumped on it. Major difference, fun riding on it now.
