Oils have probably never been changed in many years. I'm sure JD is going to be expensive and wondered if there was something of good quality but a little less money? Jim

I would stick with jd hydro oil not to much money 130 for 5 gal. Grease just good quality eng oil the same AIR FILTER best you can buy.

My bil only uses JD hyd and engine oils in his tractors. He's had JD tractors since the 1960's. We still have the 2 original 4020s . and have 3 others much newer , 2 of which have the unappealing dpf . The cheap oils can cause misery with wear . It's like the Clint Eastwood movie... "for a few dollars more." Peace of mind is a good feeling.
