    RTV1100C Radio

+1 on the terrible quality. I mainly use bluetooth headphones instead now. Much better quality!

    cold starting

I purchased it at Parsons in Kalispell. I don’t remember the exact price but I want to say it was around $75. I did see some online retailers that had a lower price but I didn’t want to wait. The install was pretty simple. You remove a freeze plug in the cylinder head and drive the heater body...

    cold starting

I added the factory block heater on my 05’ 900 and it made a dramatic difference.

    Lighting

+1 That includes the light fixture/bar. I went with a Black Oak light bar. Yes it was quite a bit more than the cheap bars. But it is a high quality bar built to a higher spec.

    V4210 complete cabs only $1200

Finally installed the cab After some time I finally was able to install the cab (I recently retired and am able to have an extended stay at my retirement home). Don’t laugh at the color combo, the price was too good to pass up. I’ll get it vinyl wrapped in Camo this summer. I went with...

    Snow Blower Ordered

I got to close to a side hill and drew the rock from its winter slumber. Thanks for the diagram. Since these turnbuckles are designed for quick detachment I put a locking nut on the side with right-hand thread. Should work fine.

    Snow Blower Ordered

Update, used the blower for the first time yesterday. Very heavy snow after some rain & higher temperatures. The unit worked like a champ. Went through (2) shear pins though. One broke when I was carving through a 3’ bank, the other broke when a 10”~ rock made an appearance. The only thing I...

    Snow Blower Ordered

The Boss plows are a fantastic product. I may get one in the future. The issue for me is that over the course of a winter our private road gets “necked-in” by the snow banks on either side. A blower solves this problem by throwing the snow a good distance from the road. My neighbor has a plow...

    Snow Blower Ordered

Just ordered a 72” Berco snowblower for my RTV. It’s the self powered version (24 HP Honda engine) since my old girl doesn’t have a PTO. I had every intention of getting a Boss V-Plow but changed my mind after talking to locals here about it. Should have it in a week or so. Will give an...

Trouble making it up a hill.

Doc, Monolithic means one pour. Not multiple pours with cold joints. Go with the ramhoe and be done with it. Everything else is a bandaid.

Trouble making it up a hill.

You’ll want to remove any loose debris then pour back with a monolithic pour if you can. If you can’t you’re better off sectioning the pours horizontally than vertically. My advice is to get a ramhoe up there and be done with it.

    Beacon Replacement

Nice setup. it’d be perfect, imo, with side coverage. Wouldn’t want to get T-Boned plowing.
