Who sent this dang heat and humidity up here?

Have to agree with you, muleman. Like one of my Kansas friends keeps telling me, "Getting older is pigeon poop!!" Fred

Heat and Tires in the South

My SIL bought a new trailer at auction last year. It had used tires on it, one was trash and the other was nearly so. Before we used it much I bought new tires for it.

    Adding Turbo to an RTV

For folks living, playing, or working at altitudes, the Kubota turbo kit keeps the power ratings up to those rated at sea level. Naturally aspirated engines lose 3% of thier power for each 1000' of elevation. At 6000', like Cheyenne, that's an 18% power loss. The available turbo kit does not...

    Kubota, I'm Sorry ....

My friends I'm staying with out here in Kansas tried the same mower out this weekend in their RV park, and bought it. Their 9 year old Ferris with a 27 hp Kohler has been problematic for them ever since they got it, so I'm sure they will be happy with the new mower. Hopefully I'll get to run...

    Kubota, I'm Sorry ....

I had a Snapper 26" like that, but with a 5 HP Briggs. After 10 years or so using it like a tractor, I finally wore out the engine, and replaced it with an 8 HP Briggs I/C , but the darned thing backfired every time I stopped it, and I had to sand off the magneto every year in Florida. The...

    Continental Z134 Engine Thermostat

I did a quick search of the internet for a 160 degree thermostat, and came up right away with this one from Autozone: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/_/N-8gctr?itemIdentifier=139155_413832_1640_

    12 v sprayer pump redo

Bordercollie, thank you for your post and information on fixing the sprayer! I'm planning to get a sprayer to use with our 12 acres on the tractor later this year, and while I used to do all my own mechanics, I quit due to lack of time, a place to work, and the general laziness I have developed...

    crack in the cylinder head

Sure is nice to be able to find major parts like that for 50+ y,o, tractors. Wonder if my heirs be able to find a head for my Kioti in 50 years? Or, more likely, in 20+ years?

Tail gate comes open with load

Once you get them back into shape, maybe you could fabricate a reinforcement, something in the form of a strap, formed to fit the size and shape of the tabs - double metal = double strength. I had to do that one time to build a muffler support for my old IH pickup when the original part was...

    MF 2615

From another thread on uploading pictures: This is just one of several free downloadable programs you can use for resizing photos. IIRC, the maximum size of an uploadable picture is 800x800, total size no more than 300kb, and the forum software will resize as needed from there. Perhaps...

    New Kubota Dealership Opened

Our local long-time dealer sold out fairly recently to a large multi-state multi-store Case IH dealer, who moved in last year by absorbing the former smaller Case IH dealership, building a brand new facility to replace the smaller one destroyed by a tornado a year ago. The former owner of the...

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

When my wife had cancer we were having trouble finding a decent doc (new in the area) so I fanally took the bull by the horns and called Vanderbilt in TN, which was less than 100 miles away. They took her right in., and she had really good care. Turned out to be a best choice. I pray for...

    Buyer BEWARE

They will probably repay the cancellation fee by a credit on your DirecTV bill, spread out over six months to a year - after you have been a subscriber for 6 to 12 months. Typical small print on these "special offers".

    New Kubota RTV900XT

Yes, welcome, and enjoy your new RTV! There are several sticky threads in the RTV forum that discuss such things as tires, stick stoppers, accessories, etc. You may view them at http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=133. A lot of good information on how to equip your RTV...

    Wanted: Rollover Box Scraper

Here's a picture of the one I bought. It doesn't do the rust justice - much rustier in person, but it is all from just sitting out, was never used. With the implement raised, when you pull the lever, the rippers roll down. Let go of the lever, and they lock into place. Pull the lever again...

It sounds like maybe the universal joints have been reassembled out of phase with each other? That can cause considerable vibration, there is a thread or two or three on here discussing replacing u joints on an RTV that go into the issue. Hopefully it is something that simple.

Not only that, but the odor in Washington is so strong that a simple fresh smell like manure would never be noticed. Keep the good stuff for the garden!
