    What size Winch

All good advice. I use a 2500lb with synthetic rope on my Rhino. Don't have one on the RTV. I use a 9500lb on my rock buggy with steel cable. I use a 9000lb on my streetable offroad jeep with steel cable. I'm brand conscious. All three of mine are Warn.

    X1100C tire shopping

I also run 20lbs in the rear and 15lbs front. I think each individual's use varies so much that you should do your own math in regards to what load capacity you need. I think bordercollie described her uses very well. She might rarely haul the full capacity of the machine. But every day she...

Were these winches dealer installed?? Curious if Kubota ships RTVs with a winch installed?

    X1100C tire shopping

Went from 25" POS worksite tires to 27" ITP Blackwater tires. No negative. As I always say, pay particular attention to load capacity.

    Winching

Does Kubota offer a winch as an option?? I'm talking about Kubota, not dealer added. I'm pretty confident Kubota doesn't make a winch. But I don't know what brand they offer. Most major brand winches offer remote. Ramsey was the first to do it that I saw in the offroad world.

    Crap Sums it Up

Bummer. Sorry for your bad luck. I'm not a mechanical genius. First thing I look at is coolant. Rusty sends red flag. Low level and I'm out. Hopefully you are in cheap enough that you can replace the engine. Hard part will be finding a useable donor for sale. :(

    Pictures Post Them Here!

Someone mentioned skidding, this pic is a bit old and I've probably posted it before. I dragged this log over 1/4 mile with plenty of traction from the loaded bed. :)

    Turbo for X900?

EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature. At a certain temperature your piston tops will begin to melt. This will destroy your engine. The pyrometer allows you to monitor this situation. In a long high rpm heavy load situation the pyrometer will alert you to possible damage and you'll be able to relax...

    hydrostat operation explained

There's definitely some money involved in there somewhere. The conversion is definitely doable. It would be definitely worthy when the RTV is stuck in gear......

    Turbo for X900?

Would still be handy to do some comparison runs using various tasks, one could be pulling the boat. If you don't, you'll wish you had!!! :)

    hydrostat operation explained

Yeah, I can't really understand why they did it this way. With appropriate gearing and HP a BX tractor would do everything regarding mobility that the RTV will do using a simple treadle. Beats me.
