    2040 hydraulic problems

I guess my question is do you think you still have issues somewhere in the system? I can understand the pumps being replaced, okay, but was the heating (or any other symptoms) in the steering valve considered in the decision to replace the pumps or was that only discovered later? It wouldn't...

    2040 hydraulic problems

I would say it's probably not a serious problem unless you now are experiencing OTHER hydraulic issues as well. What brought you to the conclusion you needed these seals replaced to begin with, and what, if any, other symptoms were present in the hydraulic system? You stated "replacing all seals...

    L5240 3pt won't raise

I'm not buying that. You don't get power beyond with just two lines. That's not how it works. I know where there's a 5240 with a factory loader. I put a new engine in it less than a year ago. The loader wasn't attached at that time. I'm going there (possibly tomorrow) to work on something else...

    L5240 3pt won't raise

I went back and read your first post, and must apologize for not getting it right to start with. You stated things worked right for twenty hours, not twenty years. My mistake. Okay, thank you for the valve/lines update. A loader valve with only two lines, mounted between the pump and lift...

    L5240 3pt won't raise

Once again, two lines or three? It does make a difference.

    L5240 3pt won't raise

I'm with you so far. Again, the loader valve. Two lines or three? Not a critical question, but does the loader valve plumbing look "factory", or more like homemade? My thoughts so far lean towards the hydraulic pump might be sucking air, but I still need more information to firm that up.

    L5240 3pt won't raise

So the tractor was inoperative when you first got it? You don't know if the lift or the loader was working properly at that time? Does the loader have a dedicated two spool valve, and if so, how many lines connect it to the tractor hydraulics? Two or three? Let's start there.

    L5240 3pt won't raise

I can't help but wonder about your timeline here. You rebuilt the hydrostat twenty years ago and it's worked fine ever since? The oil has twenty hours on since then? The problem with the three point is new? The jerk in the loader is new as well? Maybe you can fill in a few of the blanks as to...

    Mitsubishi D2350FD - Hydraulic

Sorry but I don't know anything about the internals of that system to be of much help. Typically with smaller tractors if the pump condition is the biggest part of the problem, I can usually tell with air pressure. I interrupt the pressure/supply line from the pump somewhere, set the lift...

    Mitsubishi D2350FD - Hydraulic

MOST three point lift systems have a similar devise built in somewhere. Its function is to adjust the flow of fluid EXITING the lift cylinder, in order to allow for heavy implements to be lowered as slowly as the operator chooses. They (usually) have no affect on raising or raising speed. On...

    Mitsubishi D2350FD - Hydraulic

I doubt the screen just disintegrated. More likely someone before you tore it off for whatever reason. Maybe it was ripped and not doing much anyway, something like that. Is there any other function the pump supplies other than the three point, and does that work? Yes, a tired pump could be the...
