    Fixing radiator

Yep Jim, solder is the way to do it. Gotta re-solder a brace on my old IH T340 crawler's radiator.

Help I broke my tractor in half!!!

I say all you guys with broken tractors should get one lawyer to represent you in a "class action" lawsuit. It will get much more attention when there are at least a few of you with the same problem. I know though....takes money.

Who will win & by what percentage?

Unions caused a lot of smaller factories around Ky to close shop & move too. Most of the workers were paid much higher than average already, but pressed for more & got put out of work. As to anyone running for President, I'd hardly think any of them would deliberately attempt to ruin the...

    Good free antivirus?

AVG is about the best totally free there is in my opinion. But "A-squared" is very good also as it found some virus's on my computer that AVG missed...I actually use both now.

You can get a FEL for a Massey 1010, but it has the aluminum tranny case, and some actually break in half! If the loader frame extended all the way to & bolted under the axle housing, then it would be safe for a FEL even with aluminum trans case.

m7500dt bushhog hit dirt broke transmission?help

Power takeoff on all tractors I've been into are supplied power though a separate supply shaft. The transmission driveshaft is hollow with the shaft driving the PTO running inside it. I don't see how the bush hog eating dirt could have done this. I suspect as been said that the dropping into...

Toyosha engines are supposedly great engines...heard nothing but good about them. My Massey MF1010 has a 16hp 3 cylinder Toyosha engine. I think it's the Allis 5020 that is almost the same as my MF1010. There are others here that know much more about these tractors, but after doing research...

    Changing tyres, armstrong method.

Forgot to add the pic of garden & D4-10.

    Changing tyres, armstrong method.

Milked the cows this morning, then tilled my expanded garden area with my Massey, sowed a wheat cover crop, then used my Bush Hog D4-10 to drag harrow the seed in. Finished driving the T-posts where I moved fence over, then hung/stretched the 4 strands of barb wire. Then I used my Allis 416 to...

    Changing tyres, armstrong method.

Unless I owned the office, I'd be fired soon enough. I'd give them h#$$ after a few days cooped up sitting at a desk on the phone & the like. Nope, it'd never do for me to work confined for sure. Now a good long vacation sounds good, but then again, I'd spend it outdoors too!

    Changing tyres, armstrong method.

In 2 days I hit 50. Lifetime of farming (still dairy farming) has given me & will continue to give me more than enough "hard fun work". Up before dawn & usually working till dark at one thing or another. Some days it hurts bad (arthritis) just to hold the milker to put on a cow. Changing...

    Changing tyres, armstrong method.

Easier to leave the whole thing on the tractor. Gravity & weight of the tire actually help in removing & installing these tires. Our largest tires are 20.8x38 and aren't too bad IF we leave rim on tractor. But you got the job finished, so your method is good enough! We have a heavy...

    Bush Hog JBI Project

It has been for a bit,...but, just as soon as I get this fence up, she comes out to clean the calf stalls. No replacing the FEL. Not planning to build another. The MF pulls the plows better, because of it's weight, and the MF's hydro pedal is smoother to use, plus the low range is...

    Bush Hog JBI Project

With 12" rears they don't ride well in a 10" furrow, but it rides a bit on the last plowed furrow. The next furrow flips & covers the tread marks left on previous run. Makes it a bit tougher to get the plow adjusted this way, but works fine when dialed in.

    Bush Hog JBI Project

Today I went to dig 4 post holes for moving the fence & gate to other side of new garden area. The danged post hold digger died on me. Top bearing went out & sounded like it got the gears. But to my surprise the gears are fine. The top bearing did bust out a section of cast where the bearing...

    Bush Hog JBI Project

Plowed a few days ago on 30 year sod ground. Expanding my garden for next year. Used this Bush Hog JBI tractor with the big twin Wisconsin TJD that I shoe-horned into it. Did real good for such hard ground. HP wasn't even close to an issue....ran half throttle & HP to spare. Pulling the "Twin...
