fully hydraulic curtis plow

Thanks but the shipping to my location would cost more than they are worth. Mine should be here today.

    fully hydraulic curtis plow

Try removing the rubber flap/steel bar/bolts&nuts from the top of the plow. I did and was impressed at how well it still worked, snow curls out in front of the plow. The lighter load might benefit your lift unit. Then I tried putting it, the rubber flap etc., on backwards but because I don't use...

    fully hydraulic curtis plow

If I ever do this again I would mount the unit under the hood and have 4 quick connects in the grill so the unit would be nicely protected and electrical connections would also have a safe sheltered home.
We just had 20 inches of snow, that's 50 cm here in Canada, and I had removed the...

    fully hydraulic curtis plow

Didn't have a push button switch so made do until one is purchased. Also testing this switch location and may change switch setup later. Elbows ordered for cylinder, but even straight worked out not too bad.

    fully hydraulic curtis plow

Yes please load up some pics. I got my hydraulic conversion completed yesterday. Equipment came from Princess Auto here in Canada (they have a website). Just need to complete the wireing today. Works great. Easy to tell it has lift power and lots of it now. Thanks for the idea. I'll take some...

    Plowing so far, 2008

Kubota should have made the release so it was controlled by a solenoid switch and a button on top of the shifter to activate. I was also thinking of hooking mine to the brake pedal, but that was just a dream. Solenoid swith would be the best.

Frozen cables for Pressure Release valve and Diff Lock hold

Are you sure it is frozen. Had you been driving through some streams or lots of water? I think you are experiencing the hard shifting that is so common. Try pushing hard on your brake pedal, don't let it up yet, count to five, now pull the release knob and count to five again and release the...

Road Pro 300 watt electric heaters

My 2 cents. I would go with the water heater type as sold by Curtis and others. You have lots of hot water from the engine they are not difficult to install and you would not be adding extra load on you altenator system so extra lights don't become an issue later on. I was out in -8c / 17.6f...

    fully hydraulic curtis plow

And that leads into my next question. How to slow down the hyd? Going by what you are saying both the angle and up/down are going to be really quick. Mine angles in a snap almost. Someone must know of a flow control that could slow things down a touch.
Any expert flow control experts out...

    fully hydraulic curtis plow

I had the same experience. Too much snow on the blade and it will not lift. I actually thought it was at the top and started backing up only to find it was still dragging. Just too weak a system on the lift for this Curtis plow. My ATV Moose plow and winch system would actually help get me...

Coast Valve installed on RTV-900 today

    Hi Wayne,
Just my thoughts on this subject seeing as there is a lot of chatter about this one. I am a wheelchair user and purchased the RTV900 because of the extra braking feature, so I would not have to use the brakes as much as say on a Polaris UTV. The engine breaking is great for me...

    RTV 1100 Doors

Question for you RTV1100 owners outthere. Can the doors be removed easily for thesummer? Looking at picturesthey seem to be mounted on pins much like the Curtis cab, so perhaps they lift off as well. I know the cylinder would have to be removed but unsure if the pins are loose enough to slide...

    Ramsey winch synthetic rope

I used a sync rope on my TRX450 with Warn 3.0 winch, Moose plow and roller fairlead (fat roller on the bottom) for 2 years with not an ounce of problems. Got the rope from a sailling company and the rope was rated for 6,000 lbs, better than the cable it replaced. Made my own splice in the end...

    Quieter Muffler???

If you go to the Curtis Cab site (http://www.curtiscab.com/TechSupport/default.aspx?ID=63&name=div3) and download the Kubota RTV 900 Phase II Cab Kit.pdf they have complete instructions on how they made the v4210 cab kit quiet by adding insulation materials. Kit cost about $800 in Canada. But...

    Hour meter connection

    Thanks Grapeman,
I went home last night and in 15 min. had the hour meter re-wired and it works great.
My son had used my RTV900 a couple of weeks ago and I was amazed at how much time he had used it, but now I know he must have left the key on even though he said he did not. His...

    winches

I agree, if you are using the winch alot then mount it out front where you can take care of things better.
If it is only for emergencies then this setup works okay too.
