    Tire Sealer

I put slime in my RTV tires and while I don't intentionally run over mesquite, I can't miss it all. All good so far.... there is a formula to follow of amount depending on tire size...use at least that amount...you will discover it's a lot, so compute out how many gallons you will need and look...

    Stick Stoppers Installed

Yep, Agent Blue, one might think there are lots of common parts...even assume it...but you know what assuming does....on occasion makes an a** out of U and me...so, before cutting metal, makes sense to get verification from a mechanic with the part numbers as the best possible...

    Stick Stoppers Installed

Peanut...I've got the answer!! Called my Kubota dealer to find out if the A shaped front end support which the plastic shields attach to are the same on the RTV 900 and 1140. THEY ARE THE SAME PART NUMBER:clap: Further questions regarding other dimensions which might come into play such as...

    Favorite tool

My Leatherman Wave multitool.....I always carry it.... just started over a year ago. I've been stunned at how many steps it saves me. I use it about 10 times a day..... it gets the job done often without resort to another tool.....yes, there are individual better knives, screwdrivers, awls...

    HIGH AIR INTAKE ON 1140

I installed my Kubota 1140 high rise air intake (from Kubota, $250). It has a specially shaped manifold that fits in front of the rear wheel and connects to the existing air filter (rotated 180 degrees) then to the vertical pipe. This is a very tight space where proper air flow is important and...

RTV 1140 tow bar. Why not? Where to get?

Have sent specific question about towing while running to my Kubota dealer...we'll see what they say. This is one of those questions where "NO" is easy to say while "yes" is much more difficult when people start worrying. Good to know that some of you have experienced rolling in neutral, etc...

RTV 1140 tow bar. Why not? Where to get?

OK, I have the official Kubota answer. Don't tow, ever. I called the dealer salesman who talked to Kubota and also to their mechanic. Story is that the transmission, even when in neutral, will have parts moving when being towed. The transmission, being HST, has extremely tight tolerances...

RTV 1140 tow bar. Why not? Where to get?

have small dump trailer I pull behind the RTV almost always, too small to load RTV ...also have flatbed that can haul the RTV..... total tow distance would be less than a mile. Time and effort to use big flatbed for hookup/drive/load/drive/unload/unhook is more than just walking back to get the...

RTV 1140 tow bar. Why not? Where to get?

Having used my 1140 for a while now, I find that I often have two vehicles out in the pasture and only one driver. The RTV and the tractor/pickup/etc. The solution would be to put a tow bar on the front of the RTV and simply put it in 2wd neutral and tow it over the ranch roads to the next...

    Drive Shaft Info

Very well written and illustrated example of home made "fix" to the drive shaft rattle problem..... innovative use of materials and tools many of us have. Unclear what the longevity of this fix will be but seems that it is a solid idea and should do no harm.
