The foot operated pedal should have no effect on pto operation. The lever beside the seat operates the pto. If there is action on pto with foot pedal, I suspect the release bearing operating sleeves are binding. parts numbers 5,6,and 7 need to slide freely over each other. When clutch is...
It sounds like you have a leak in the pto clutch circuit. Could be blown orings or gasket at pto valve or blown seals in pto clutch piston or clutch drum.
You are correct, if you have clutch pressure and can get it into gear, it should move. If it does not, then there is something physically broken or worn out. Clutch splines, clutch shaft, hi-lo, differential, or axle stub shaft.
Do you have a pressure gauge you can check clutch pressure with? Make sure pressure goes to zero when you push clutch down and you should have maybe 160 psi with clutch pedal released. Does the pto shaft spin when you engage it? Does the lever stay in on its own?
A couple of questions. What was on the screen when you cleaned it? DO you have pictures of the material? What do you mean by the clutch works at idle? Will the tractor move at idle? What transmission do you have? Powershift or Quad Range?
When you say solenoid in dash, I assume you mean the relay on the firewall? If the relay clicks when switch is turned and no power is going to the starter, then the relay is bad or the wire between the relay and the starter is bad.
I always use a small pair of channel locks
(maybe 4 inch) to loosen and tighten the lower engine side of the tach cable. If your hour meter is still working, I doubt a new cable will make the tach work. Probably the tach itself is bad.
