Well thought out, well done. :)

    RTV X1100C with snowblower

Looks good, depending on the weight of the snowblower you may want to add a metal or plywood gusset to each of the "L" shaped wheel legs for strength.

Slightly Off Topic - Heating Pole Barn

Not if he keeps it relatively warm over the winter. The biggest issue in the spring is the mass of the concrete floor. It stays cold as the air warms up so there is condensation everywhere particularly on the metal items in the shop. My floor has a couple layer of 6 mil poly under it to stop...

    RTV X1100C with snowblower

I don't have the snowblower but my issues with the walk behind kind, which I have, is heavy wet snow. Here's a youtube video of moving about 3" of the stuff. There are more videos of snowblowers on there. I personally use the Curtis/Kubota blade on my 900 here in Michigan and it hasn't failed...

Is the X1100C a good machine to plow snow?

My 900 does the same thing unless I pick the blade up before I try to shift into reverse. Seldom a problem when I lift the blade first.

Slightly Off Topic - Heating Pole Barn

Your fighting a loosing battle up here in the north in the winter if the pole barn is vented and uninsulated. Any wood stove will take a hour or two to produce heat and it will be fighting the heat sink of the floor and the flow up the vent. You'll never see 60 or 50 or close to that if it's 30...

    Mice In Pole Barn

I use Tomcat green bricks as poison and they have containers to minimize exposure to other animals. Works OK but what I use are Victor traps like these with peanut butter on them. Effective a all heck if you live near the barn and can empty the traps within a day or two...

    2006 RTV900 coolant leak

I went back and looked at all the threads in this post and I don't see if the block was drained. If not, there's a large amount of coolant/water in there. That may account for the low amount of coolant you can add. Before you go any farther, be sure you know the concentration of antifreeze in...

    2006 RTV900 coolant leak

Yes it does mean a small amount of fluid by passes the stat all the time but the fix has been around for years as a way to get air out of the system. The air in the system will effect cooling much more than a small hole. When the air is gone, you could replace the stat to see effect it has, but...

    2006 RTV900 coolant leak

Personally, I'd remove the thermostat and both radiator hoses from the radiator. I hook a garden hose to the lower hose and flush the engine until the water runs clear. Hook the hoses back up and use something like this to flush the system until the rust is gone...

    grab handle for drivers side

My 04 now has a full cab but the bracket for rear screen, now gone, is in the perfect position to grab when backing up. Some day I might put a handle there but until then it works well.

    Cracked Casting/Cover

One of the old tricks to getting pilot bearings out of auto crankshafts is to pack the entire void that the bearing is in with grease, get a rod that is just slightly smaller than the bearing id, place the rod in the void and hit it hard a few times. Generally, this will hydraulic the bearing...

    new starter for RTV 1100CW

If all else fails, try Ebay. Here's one for $89. I have no experience with starters but bought an alternator off Ebay about 3 years back for my 2004 900 and it's still working fine...

    'nother addition

Good idea but I just don't like the hitch limited to the front so I set mine up to slide into the receiver on either the front or back. Here's the winch with the mount under the hood. The wiring to connect it to the RTV power source and remote control Battery connection

    Kubota Insurance Rocks!

That must depend on the policy. We carry a replacement value rider and there was no deductible when our place was broken into a few years back. The insurance company replaced everything and was easy to deal with. They even paid for an upgraded safe as the small one I had worthless. Bob

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Did a little trimming with the 40 volt Riobi, it has potential. Cut through about a 9" oak stump with decent speed and didn't drag. I'll know more in a few weeks when I'm back on two good knees.

Thanks for starting the string on electric chainsaws. I've been considering one for a while but never had much info to go by so I haven't done anything. Your post got me back on the trail. I don't have the heavy duty felling you have but I have a lot of hardwoods that need bucking and...

    RTV900 Bed Crane

For that price I'd try it. Personally, I'd add a 1/4" plate under the bed the size or larger than the base of the lift for strength. If the bed still flexed then you could add a support from the top of the lift to the bed side or rail. Should work with a little effort.

    Mahindra Roxor

Sure would miss you a ton BC. But before I'd buy one of those I look into a Jeep. Probably a Wrangler or later CJ type. Tough as nails, you can get parts about anywhere and built to do what you do. You should be able to find good ones under $15K. I had a CJ5 I bought 25 years back with a...
