    Antifreeze loss in reservoir?? X1100C

I had coolant leaks on my 2014 X900 after a year and found the clamps needed tightening. Now - with 600 hours on my 2022 X1100C I have had the same problem. There were two major leaks: one at one of the connections of three hoses at a metal junction below the driver's seat and the other was...

Kubota OEM Strobe Light & Turn Signal Kit are Stupid Expensive - What was your workaround?

The side rails are connected to square stock that fits in the square channels at the corners of the cargo box. Pop the covers off and then slide in the square tubing, and cut to the length you want. Most hardware departments carry the square stock in 4 foot lengths. I purchased the smaller...

Kubota OEM Strobe Light & Turn Signal Kit are Stupid Expensive - What was your workaround?

A bit of snow coming in tonight so I put the plow on and set up the strobe light. I've had the strobe light since 2018. The magnetic base is super strong and locks nicely on the rack I made. There are about 6 different flashing patterns that are easily switched with the 2nd switch on the...

Do any of you run supplements in your fuel?

I use Sta-Bil Diesel additive when I take delivery which I do in November so I get the winter blend from the provider. So far no problems and my 275 gallon tank is in a shed outdoors.

    Snow plow

Hello bczoom, this is very generous of you! Thank you for the offer. I, however, find the pipe method to be working really well and don't anticipate trying a rubber edge. I have almost 2 miles of driveway/road that I keep plowed and I think a rubber edge would wear out really fast. I did...

Kubota OEM Strobe Light & Turn Signal Kit are Stupid Expensive - What was your workaround?

I made a mount that is attached to the right rear position of the X1100C wired for a light. On this metal mount I position a magnetic multifunction LED strobe light. It is powered via its own power cord that I plug into the 12v tap. It has worked out really well and the cord is routed around...

    Snow plow

I miss stated the size of PVC pipe I used. I just looked at it and it is 2 inch. As you can see from the pictures, I cut a slot of the pipe and it sits in the blade. I have not yet installed it for this winter (I use it primarily in the spring when the snow is melting and the road gets soft...

    Snow plow

I love the Boss V Plow but have not attached a pipe to the cutting edge. I do place a 1.5 inch PVC pipe to the cutting edge of my rear blade on my B7800 and it is perfect for soft road clearing up when the dirt can easily be turned up. Not sure how it would work on the V plow. Good luck...

I will be interested to learn what you find. Please keep us informed. How old is your machine??

    Dome light switch

This is also true with the reed switch. The door does not need to latch to turn the light off.

    Dome light switch

Even though my mechanical spring switch has worked well, I have found it even more difficult to close the driver's door with the spring resistance adding to the tight cab problem! If I didn't get the door completely closed the light would stay on. The time out feature has helped, but it still...

    K-Connect

When I was shopping for a new RTV I had planned on purchasing the K-connect system, but one dealer I visited said they do not sell or install the K-connect system as they have been "troublesome". When I pressed for some details they just said it is difficult to install and maintain alignment...

    RTV 1100 and X1100 doors

I treated mine with Wood Wax right away. So far it seems to work. It is only two years old, but has been worked every day. I do blow air into the holes from time to time to make sure all is clear.

    Snow plow

The Boss V-Plow works extremely well. The hydraulics are quick and powerful. As Bigorangething said “ it can stack snow 6 feet high” and in my 8 years of plowing my 2 miles of dirt roads I’ve never not been able to plow. With a set of chains on the rear wheels the Kubota is a bulldozer.

    1100c Bedliner question

I purchased a stall mat from tractor supply and that has been great. Tools don’t roll around as much, tossing wood in doesn’t dent the floor, and it is quieter. I’ve had this in my 2014 and 2021 machines. Cheaper and easy to remove for cleaning.

    Broken bracket

Depends, but average 2,000 miles a year. It is a work vehicle. Pretty much just plowing during the winter, perhaps 300 miles doing that and the rest of the year it will be 5-12 miles per day.

    Broken bracket

Good Work! Mine broke under warranty and Kubota finally agreed to repair it on their dime - welded the transmission and then welded the muffler to the exhaust manifold. 10,000 miles later is was still as good as new. Glad you were able to make a bracket.

    RTV 900 problem

Is it just water? or is antifreeze mixed with it?? When is was last driven was it running OK ? The only thing I can come up with is a blown head gasket - hence the question about antifreeze. If no antifreeze then it less likely it is a head gasket. Perhaps there is a pin hole leak in a water...

    Strange Issue

Well, leaking after spending time in an heated barn overnight in Ontario would make sense. Contraction of the metal would (could) allow for slight leakage. In the summer, between use and normal summer environment, the metal never contracts enough to allow for leaking. if it is leaking at a...

2015 RTV 1000c broke the fan belt. How hard to replace?

I haven’t had to replace mine ye, but I did have to re-tension it. Pretty good access behind the driver seat. I think you will have to loosen the alternator to replace the belt and that is where your access is. Tight but doable.
