    Electrical Updates

It is OK to give into peer pressure at our age! Funny you should say that you are thinking of what to do with the other lights. Just yesterday I was looking at the one extra lamp I purchased and in a fleeting moment wondered where I can use it! Have fun!!

    Intermittent wiper for X1100C?

Sorry - eye scratches are painful - but they heal up quickly - I hope that is the case for you!

    RTV1100c Kubota Electro-hydraulic Plow - Joystick/Controller Mount?

I have a Boss V-XT and I found it easiest to mount the control with velcro on a piece of HDPE that I mounted to the dash as seen below. I took the handle off the control leaving just the head ("puck" as Tinsnip suggested). I did this with my X900 years ago and now with my X1100C. I like being...

    Electrical Updates

The lamp arrived this afternoon so I installed it. I was able to get it in by taking the bottom section off and loosening the top as you suggested. I tried to remove the steering wheel, but it didn't want to come - I was able to take the steering wheel off my X900 with no problem, but this...

    How did the installation go?

    Electrical Updates

While I can do the shifting by feel, after a few hours of plowing I sometimes find that I don't always shift fully into L. A light would help so I am thinking that your idea would be a good project that doesn't cost much. I haven't yet studied how the dash board is put together so I am curious...

    Intermittent wiper for X1100C?

It is a nice unit. The stock switch will work as it is intended to work - BUT - the new unit works independently so you never have to use the stock switch. The unit works well - the more you turn it the longer the interval - I haven't used the stock switch at all now. Have fun.

RTV X1140 No Movement or Drive, HST Problem

"I started looking over my suction line and found cracks in the suction hose near the hose clamp at the top... I will attach a picture. I am guessing it is sucking air in and causing my problem." The integrity of the hydraulic system is crucial. You've done so much great work so far I would...

Intermittent power shutdown on Kubota 2011 RTV1100

Check the connections at the solenoid and starter. Perhaps the ignition wires to the solenoid are compromised- if the key doesn't seem to get a response it may very well be the issue - solenoid is not getting the message!

    Dome light switch

I just installed this timer module and it is really neat and works well. Amazing it is so inexpensive. The factory hot lead to the dome light is really short so it is a bit of a challenge to connect in, but doable. The unit has a potentiometer for adjusting - the directions make no mention...

Dealing with ice on the road instead of sanding

How did the DR Grader work for you? Given our warmish weather the winter we have had two episodes of ice on the road. Both times my DR Grader has made the difference and I have not had to use sand.

    Diesel Fuel Filtering

I like what you all have done with the trailers - particularly helpful if you don't have far to go to refill them! I have a 275 gallon fuel oil tank that I took out of a home and it is my designated off-road fuel tank. I have a hand pump and the tank is in a small building that has an access...

    Electrical Updates

After plowing last night I can say that there two things I have done that are wonderful additions to the electrical system. One Is the intermittent wiper - And the other is the backup light. The dome light door jamb switch is great and having the radio on a hot switch are nice improvements...

    Electrical Updates

There are a few "always hot" circuits in there as well as ignition on circuits. I ended up wiring the radio to an always on circuit so I could have the radio on while working with the engine not running and the hour meter ticking away! I wired in a toggle switch in the switch plate that turns...

    Electrical Updates

I just read the description of this device and it looks like the volt display is on all the time since the 12 volt receptacle is "hot" regardless of the key position. It won't draw much, but I am thinking that this could be somewhat of a problem?

    Electrical Updates

I love this device - especially the volt meter! Unfortunately I use that port for plugging in my hazard light in the winter and portable search light for looking for downed power lines and trees. Maybe I can have both - will look into it. Thanks for the idea :)

    Yellow roof lights for plowing?

On my X900 I had my plow lights exactly where you have yours - up under the roof edge. I had a metal roof, but I had the lights hanging the same way. I had no problem - but then again I had a Boss plow so the reflection was not so bad, but the Boss plow can go up so high that it made it hard...

    Yellow roof lights for plowing?

Changing the color would be a nice experiment! I've not had a problem with reflection from the top of the cab lights. Being up that high makes the reflection angled down rather than right back at you. I plow on my own 1.5 miles of dirt road so I don't run into traffic except at the two points...

Ok water in the transmission. fluid milky and transmission not performing well. Kubota 900 diesel

I have used Coleman's and Messicks with mail orders and our local dealer when I need to purchase 5 gallon pails of UDT2. Shipping charges on the Super UDT2 make it very expensive so I stop by the dealer if I am in the area. Messicks shipping charges are a bit high, but their service is...
