Next Generation RTV - What would your like to see?

Generally, if the seals are leaking on a vehicle, one way to improve the sealing is to find a small foam strip and add it to the fold in the seal. A touch of talcum powder on the door will transfer to the seal where it contacts and where there is not transfer is where the seal needs to be expanded.

    RTV 900 front tires

I have an 04 with the coast valve installed when I purchased it. I like it but if you have large hills to traverse I'd probably keep the original valve. They don't call this place the Saginaw Valley because it's hilly. I don't have trouble shifting until I plow snow. Then I need to be sure to...

tinting the windows on my rtv ?

When I purchased my Ram pickup used, the PO had tinted the drivers and passenger side windows to match the rear windows. Great during daylight to filter out the sun, much more comfortable in the direct sunlight. But at night you can't see the rear view mirrors or anything outside. I need to roll...

Bolt pattern & stud size on x1100 ?

As far as the wheel bolts, I'd call Messicks. They could be metric but they'll know.

    Homemade Roof X-1120D

Great idea and looks nice. It might be worth while to add a piece of foam pipe insulation where your head might hit it.

Absolutely Love My New Kubota RTV X900

Looks like you put it to work already. Someday, I'll talk myself into the Boss-V to replace my Curtis/Kubota unit. Nice choices on the machine and blade.

    Winch wiring?

NB, If you look at the second picture I posted, you will see a fused connector on the positive battery post. I don't remember where I found them but this one is from West Marine. Bob

    Winch wiring?

You'll need to run directly off the battery and use a relay to actuate the winch. Most come with a setup, even my Harbor Freight had one. The connector in the second picture is my connection to the winch. I used the connector so I could use the winch front or back.

    Improved Shifting

The other thing that causes my 04 to shift hard is if the plow still has pressure on the snow I've pushed. Lifting the blade usually takes care of that issue.

    I wish it would snow

Bet the folks in 1847 wished they had a couple of those.

A tip for curtis plow owners

I asked because I think my neighbor used 1 1/2 or 2" pipe but I can't check as he's gone for a while.

    Upcoming Purchase - Extended Warranty?

Purchased one on my 14 Ram Sport 1500 because I took one look at the electronics, saw what they control, found the cost to replace and said "I ain't driving this thing without long term protection" so I bought one for it. I couldn't find what the extended warranty cost was on the 1120 but...

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

I'll agree with all of the above, amazing. I think I'd put together a complete list of costs and inconvenience at a fair amount per hour and take it to small claims court if the Tow Company won't make good when your folks submit the bill to them.

A tip for curtis plow owners

My neighbor had the same issue and said he solved the problem by putting a groove in a length of pipe and slideing it on the bottom of the blade. Pipe allowed the blade to push snow without digging into the gravel.

Thanks Mark, I'll roll out the 900 later and see what's up. Really appreciate your effort here. Bob

    RTV1100 radio questions

Most single DIN radios, as above, come with a mounting sleeve that fits in the rectangular hole and you bend the brackets to hold it in the opening. There is then a threaded post or hole on the back of the radio to mount a strap to connect to the body to brace the radio. Getting the proper...

    Kubota X1100C with PTO K-Connect

Luckily, I was able to get the great deal on the Curtis Cab from Canada so here's the little fellow with the cab and 72" Curtis blade ready to deal with whatever falls. Small propane heater for heat ,the 900 diesel to push snow and about 300 lbs of cinder blocks available for traction.
