    BX2230 HST Pedal Return

Had a problem for years with the HST pedal not returning to neutral or center. It never bothered me much but it almost caused the Mrs. a problem last weekend. She took her foot off the pedal to set the brake and it kept moving forward. I checked the parts diagram in the service manual and I...

Book or DVD on Learning Diesel Engines

I have been working on gas engines most of my life and have succesfully rebuilt a few. As I roll up on retirement, I want to be able to diagnose and repair diesel problems I am likely to run into. I have both the D905 and D1105 engines. Could anyone suggest good training materials for the...

Pro Konvert fitment problem? Parking break rubber handle slipping off.

Return it to dealer for both. You don't need any finger pointing for home attempted fixes. Just my opinion of course. Not everyone has a dealer a few miles away. I do like the extra length and flexibility of that bed.

    New '25 rtvx

I really like the hybrid tires on the new RTVX models. The ATV tires were poor and the turf tires wouldn't have worked in my muddy places. The new tires are not quite as aggressive as the Evolutions I have on there now, but they look like a good balance.

    BX Tire Replacement

The dealer price was pretty high, $900 for tires only. About $30 ea for the rims if I wanted them through whole goods. I have to say our parts guy is just great. He doesn't set the prices however. So working plan is the R1 replacements but I heard R14s, while more expensive, help with the ride...

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

I was just talking with my Brother about getting one from the soil and water district. He needs to dig many holes for fence. Now if I can only get him to pay the bill.

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

If I find a used PHD digger for the BX, I will probably buy it. I have about 50 trees to get in the ground between now and mid-May and in addition to my shoulders popping, my wrists have started doing it. The right one is sore about all the time now. Mama puts some liniment on it which helps...

    BX Tire Replacement

I would say I get along great with all of them - kind of like family. Family who takes your money. But seriously, I will try our sales guy. He seems like a straight shooter. Thanks zoom. I talked with a guy at our local ag tire store in Mount Sterling. He said that while I was looking to...

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

Its gets a little sporty when you hit a root. And I usually pay for using it in the shoulders the next day. 10-4 on the clay.

    BX Tire Replacement

That is crazy. I just hung up from calling my dealer parts guy who is at dinner. Will try him back this afternoon. Great suggestion, thanks.

Quick attach for my 2002 Kubota

I got the 48" to fit on my BX. The grapple was about $1400 at that time. Pre-covid, pre-Biden. I paid another $400 for an Ai2 quick attach which is a plate that mounts on the loader arm with permanent pins. Then you have these pins with a handle on them that allow you to lock it on. Ai2 was...

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

When planting trees in an orchard in red clay, its good to dig a uniform 18". A bucket would make a hole but it would be a hack. I tried having a guy do that several years ago.

Quick attach for my 2002 Kubota

Doc, I see someone already suggested TractorMike for QA kits. I got my Grapple here and they are the toughest, best backed on the market. Mine was one of the originals and they have just gotten better and tougher since then. My quick attached is from Ai2 who only builds for BX tractors -...

    BX Tire Replacement

Kubota BX2230. Need to replace the front tires first. They are factory OTR 18x8.5-8 4 ply. I contacted a couple of the local AG tire shops and told them I'd like a 6 or 8 ply tire to replace it. They all quoted BTK Skidpower HD tires. As the name implies, they are skid steer tires and there...

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

Yep 143 and 124 were both flooded and Rutland was underwater on Friday. The water coming off our hill is just a non-stop gusher. Thank God we put a drain tile to route water to the township ditch. At the bottom of the link below, there is a video on its operation. Jansen is a German company and...

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

Update on towable backhoe. The Go-For Digger is my favorite but its hard to find one that hasn't been used and abused. And decent used ones are 15-20K. The Jansen MB-360 is my front runner now as it has a grapple option and 360 degree rotation like a bigger excavator. They have a $150 discount...

    Fuel Pump???

I am assuming the factory pump is internally gear driven and removing and opting for an external one would require some kind of cover plate, correct?

How long did your RTV-X Battery Last?

Dan, I have had good luck with Batteries Plus if you have any in your area. I would not normally think to buy an equipment battery there but they had them in stock. And if you set up a business account, it saves you a nice chunka change.

How long did your RTV-X Battery Last?

When you do have to replace it, look for brands manufactured by East Penn Manufacturing. They are the makers of the legendary Deka batteries that Kubota used. Kubota has since OEM changed supplies and my dealer said he believes they are Interstate. For me, East Penn's batteries are heavier...
