    Back to the Basic

That reminds me of an old set of Burma-Shave signs: Mid this vale of toil and sin your head grows bald but not your chin! Burma-Shave Fred

Geese Headed North & Daffodills Poppin

So now comes the springtime ritual of wild weather warnings - they are already warning us of possible severe weather tonight, with a possible isolated tornado. Well, I guess maybe it beats mud season (unless one is actually in the path of a tornado!). Fred

My RTV is a block of ice.

I keep my two separated. My Kioti is at daughter's and son-in-law's property, JD mower here at home. Hope they don't squabble when we combine homes later on! Fred

    need help please

I think the switch is probably the interlock switch to prevent starting if the pto is engaged. As far as I know, the lever actually controls the pto mechanically. I don't think the BX series has electrohydraulic pto engagement.

    RTV is really handy

Learned on History Channel a couple of days ago, that phrase actually doe not refer to cats, but to catfish since they are so hard to skin. Just a neat bit of trivia.

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

It is getting really difficult to even find any products "Made in U.S.A." any more. SIL wants a good socket set, I decided to get him one for Christmas. The only tools I could find not made in China were the higher priced Kobalt sets (made in Taiwan). All the Craftsman sets I saw were made in...

    Any Body Home

I just took delivery of my DK45SE(CH) two weeks ago today - finally, 18 months after purchase! Thanks to the dealer for storing it until My DD and SIL finally got a building built to store it on their property, 25 miles away from both houses. This is my first tractor, if you don't count a...

    Bed hydrolics

Dennis, you beat me to it. I was going to suggest Fluid Film myself. I use it on my mower deck, and it lasts very well for two seasons. Great stuff! Fred

Glad to hear you're back home, Doc. My best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Let your body tell you whenever you start to do too much, it will! Fred

    Doc

Hang in there, Doc. I hope they will be able to put in stents for you. Several years ago, they found abdominal aorta aneurysms in me, quite by accident. They didn't think they could do stents on me either, but seven stents and eight years later, I'm still ticking along fine. My prayers...

    kioti ck20s

If you are used to manual, the hydro operates a bit differently. It seems counter-intuitive, but you actually increase power by letting up on the go pedal. Pressing the pedal increases speed, which reduces force. But then you probably know that already.

    Kioti CK20S video digging stump.

Usually your dealer can get you one, if he doesn't have them in stock. They are also available from online sources, such as Everything Attachements or Iowa Farm Equipment. They attach by two bolts, one on each side. Mount it to your bucket, then mark the holes at the front of the slot to permit...

    Stupid question, BX2230

Most of the posters I've read who have both a backhoe and a mid-mount mower don't want to leave the backhoe on while mowing, both for weight issues and for maneuverability. Some tractors use the three-point hitch to lift the mower, which you can;t very well use with the backhoe mounted. Most...

jd110, I don't know that you have been properly thanked for your many thoughtful, informative posts from your obvious wealth of JD knowledge, but I for one consider it a real boon that you are on here helping folks. All I can say is, THANK YOU!!!! Fred
