    Tunes on the go

Just a reminder. If you have headphones that have a wire plugged into the tractor try and remember to remove the headphones before attempting to walk away from the machine.;) Been there, done that !!

    Tunes on the go

Headphones.. I generally only use the speakers when I'm using the backhoe or doing something where I'm getting on and off the tractor often. For everything else I use the headphones. The biggest part of my tractor hours are mowing our lawn and our field.I finish mow around 7 acres of lawn...

    Tunes on the go

I added a am/fm cassette player( from TSC) and speakers up under my canopy. I also have a wire thats runs to the roll bar behind the operator seat where I can plug in headphones so I don't have to listen to the tractor while I mow.

    Lets see your backhoe!

I've used the 36" bucket to dig off and grade/level a bank that was along the front of my property. Dug off and leveled a small bank that ran along my driveway. Used it to put in a grade drainage ditch's along the driveway, Dug and leveled an area near the house to put in an above ground...

    Proping the clutch for winter

I believe all the Independant PTO's that are turned on/off by an electric switch are this way. I see Civesnedfield mentions a HAND operated Independant PTO in his original post. I missed that before. Not sure if that is a similar system or not.

    Proping the clutch for winter

The clutchs for the independant PTO are most likely a wet clutch pack housed in the transmission. They should not be a problem as far as rusting together since they are bathed in oil.

    What's on your agenda?

This is what I went and did today. Brought home a 1986 Kawasaki Ninja 600R. Much of it is in a thousand pieces in a box. Hoping I can put it back together over the winter and make it work (quess I'm going to find out:D ), most all the parts appear to be there.

    Is your shop/building/barn/garage big enough?

I can't compete with Brians shelter. But I have been busy adding on to my pole barn much of the summer due to lack of space(had my wife busy helping build). Picture 1 is my original 24'x24' pole barn. The following photos are what we have been adding on this year.

    Insurance

My homeowners covers very little on my tractors and attachments. I added the "Inland Marine" policy ($130/year through Erie Insurance). Covers the tractors, backhoe and all my attachments. My tractor also gets trailered several times per year. The Inland Marine policy covers it off my property...

    KIOTI vs KUBOTA

I have a Kioti DK 35 that I bought in early 02, currently at around 1050 hours. Only had a couple minor issues ,the plastic fuel filter bowl cracked (replacement was around $9) and a tachometer cable broke (replacement was around $8). I've been very pleased with the tractor so far.

    Hello

I think the rear tires are still the originals. They were on the tractor when I bought it (10 or 12 years ogo). They are 13.6-16 turf tires and this size tire is listed in my owners manual .

    Hello

Is this better?? I'll try and refrain from that type of mistake in the future.. :D

    What brand do you own?

Yes they are bigger than stock. Don't remember what size the tires are offhand. I have a Wheel Horse snow blade and snowblower. I also have a grader type blade that mounts underneath the tractors for grading.
