RTV Daily uses, What did you do today with your RTV?

Just spent a year in Florida over the last 30 days with temps in the 80's. Many days in the high 80's with high humidity. I now understand why my ancestors moved to Northern Europe from the south even if they had to battle barbarians to stay there. On the way home, stopped for gas in Ohio...

just found this Kubota owners manual download FREE

Good find, thx. If I might make a suggestion, could you change the title to something like Kubota manual downloads or something like that. That should make it easier to find in future searches.

Could someone provide me a measurement of your dump cylinder

Here's my failed attempt to do the same thing. The measurements should be in the post. If you make progress, please post your results. http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15805

And finally for tonight - Tires for the X900

I've had a set of Grim Reapers on my 900. 25-10-12's all around, 8 ply. The biggest surprise was how well they do plowing snow. Better traction than I would have guessed. Downside - they will seriously tear up a lawn and soft dirt.

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

That is a lot but if you need them, not overkill. I checked out the large ones in my pole barn and they were part of the recall. I used the Kidde website and sent them the numbers off the extinguishers they asked for. Got an email back apologizing for a delay in sending them as were in high...

    Shuts off intermittently

The beauty of diesels is when they start all they need is fuel and air to keep running so the above suggestions about water, filter or gelled fuel are excellent. A warm place should moderate either gel or water. On the air side, check the intake and filter also. You never know if a mouse or...

    58 degrees here yesterday

Not so high today however. But life is good with 21.6 diesel horses, 4 wheel drive and 72" of heavy gauge cold rolled steel to attack the elements. Did I mention I had to turn down the heater 'cause it got too warm in the cab. Not complaining as I enjoy this weather. I don't like high temps...

    Starting issues got me stumped!

If I hear a click from the solenoid, I still jump it to be sure it's not the problem. There are a number of ways to jump it but my legal team suggests I not to mention them here. Easier to check first than to replace the starter and then find out it's the solenoid.

    My winch won't fit.

Doc In this thread is how I built my receiver mount, wired it and how it fits under the hood of my 900. Plus some other good ideas from other members. http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17091

    My winch won't fit.

Why not try a receiver mount if you have one. Store it under the hood and use it on either end. https://www.harborfreight.com/hitch-receiver-mount-for-winches-69106.html

    Plow Blade Antistick

Took on a pretty wet snow this morning with the 900. Even at 12 MPH or so it didn't roll off the blade very well so I'm curious what you folks treat your blades with, if anything. FYI -Curtis/Kubota steel 72" unit. Thanks.

Here's a "Talk About Anything" thread

Is it low pressure at startup or at all temps. On a high mileage engine the oil pressure drops do to clearances opening up such as bearings, lifter galleries and the oil pump itself, as I'm sure you are aware. If it's only low at startup, I'd check the pressure with a separate gauge as I might...

    Antifreeze

Personally, I like/use Prestone. In my streetrods I use Prestone Dexcool as I have some aluminum parts in them. Personally, for my 900, I buy the 5x stuff they produce. It's apparently formulated to extend the life of the antifreeze and should give excellent corrosion protection. I know you...

RTV 900 Floor Panel & Inner Fender Well

This is a great offer. There's must be a sheet metal shop around that's could fabricate it from the print. It sounds like you can weld so installation should be pretty straight forward. Shipping a floor, even if it is in pieces is still a bit of a bother.
