    Cabin Fever RTV Videos

Been bouncing between 40 and 50 below for the last three days. Just started to warm. Damn 67 would be nice. I'm the poster child for cabin fever.

RTV x1100c with sfsspecialties turbo help needed

Fantastic. I suspected you had a balance problem.

RTV x1100c with sfsspecialties turbo help needed

Could be a balance issue. Flywheels sometimes have weights attached(generally a crappy spot weld) for balance.

New x1140 Radiator fan short cycling

I never get above three bars. My problem is running cool in the winter. My fan comes on for a short time, if I'm going very slow pulling a steep hill, but temp drops immediately after the fan comes on.

CVT Shaft Came out of Front Wheel

I want a Boss plow for my 1100c, but can't justify the price(5500 bucks here in Alaska)for what little I have to plow. Do you like it? I think the blade lifted the machine when you went over a big bump, allowing the suspension to abruptly over extend and allow the shaft to drop out fully or...

CVT Shaft Came out of Front Wheel

If you're plow has "down" power, you may have over extended your suspension, allowing the shaft to drop out.

    New x1100C

Art is spot on about adjustment and mine is a little out of whack, but I easily compensate by pulling the hand throttle all the way out and controlling the hydrostat with the foot feed when climbing a hill.

    RTV900 Bed Crane

Yep, from day one. I think its the spool valve. Tolerances are a little sloppy. It really hasn't been a problem for me because I keep my loads forward, but I'm thinking of getting a slip-in water tank and the cg may be aft of the bed pivot. I'll probably devise some mechanism to lock the bed to...

    RTV900 Bed Crane

In an "over center" state, the bed is held in place by oil trapped on the upper side of the hoist cylinder piston, running or not. If the piston seals and ram seals are in excellent condition the bleed over may be minimal, but it will get progressively worse as the seal wears. There's also bleed...

    RTV900 Bed Crane

Keep in mind, any type of boom mounted in the bed will cause the bed to tip up, being held in place only by the hydraulics. Stack a few hundred pounds on the tailgate when it's down, you'll quickly see my point. The bed pivot location is barely aft of center. I want to be able to handle drums of...

    Man, I love my 1100C!

    >>I was worried that a diesel engine vehicle stored in an unheated shed might be problematic on some of our really cold mornings, but so far it's started right up, even at minus 15* F. << Just a heads up for ya. I live in Alaska and I find my 1100 will start at 20 below without plugging it in...

    Rtv 500 - unknown piece???

The diff lock would have to be properly used with tracks. Any turns while locked would create bad binding which could do damage and would be a bugger to get released. My machine binds bad enough with wheels. That may be why it was disconnected. I use my diff lock only when I absolutely need it...

    Rtv 500 - unknown piece???

I'm thinking the same. From the photo it looks like the diff lock shaft is below it. The cotter pin has been reinstalled, so someone detached it. It didn't fall out. The question is why.

Engine runaway with clouds of black smoke.

Oil smoke is blue and has a distinctive odor. Over fueling creates a black smoke.

Engine runaway with clouds of black smoke.

Fuel return problem. Excess fuel dumping at nozzles due to poppets' being held open because of back pressure. Injection timing goes to shit, thus all the smoke.

Rtv 1100c sounds like it’s shifting

My throttle is always on high idle except when starting in cold weather.
