Rtv 1100c sounds like it’s shifting

Mine rattles like hell at 10 below or colder. The crappy side panels on the box rattle terribly.

The rod cap on the left doesn't look very healthy and the one on the right isn't much better. Did you inspect the upper bearings? Shorting an injector and the noise goes away tells me you have a bearing or crank issue. Shorting takes the load off, thus no knock. Looking at the bearings it's...

    Newbie Diesel Cold Weather Questionms

When I was running logging trucks in Montana, we'd see 30 to 40 below frequently and I never had a problem with 50/50 winter blend. I now live in Alaska and only use #1 in my Kubota and my rig starts with ease at 40 below. I agree with the crappy fuel filter and intend to put on a better one...

Now I get the idea. I'll need a quick detach to remove them when I'm in the brush. Thanks.

    X1120d Won't Start - Troubleshooting Suggestions?

As Border Collie posted. Jump the starter first. If it works, you have proven the battery and starter are good.

Is X1100 Heating/Cooling as good as auto?

Heater will keep things warm at 40 below. I get some icing on the windows, but not real bad. I'm thinking of installing some type of winterfront and see if that helps. All in all, heater works well.

I've seen them. Bolt to the top door hinge I believe. Would you let me know what price your dealer quotes you? My dealer in Fairbanks seems to think a 200% mark up isn't unreasonable. I'm with ya brother, just a matter of time before I back over something spendy. John

Pad heaters. I've got two on my oil pan. The reason, the lazy turds at my Kubota dealer didn't want to do the work to remove the bottom skid pan, so they stuck the heater on the side of the pan, above the oil. I installed a pad on the bottom of my pan last winter. Everyone in Alaska sticks the...

    >>The other weird thing, and it's probably just me, is that for some reason it's much harder to see where I'm going in reverse in the 1100C than it was in my old Gator. I have to check this out when I'm not plowing snow so I can figure it out. I probably just need to get used to it. Looking at...

What are you using for a heater on the trans and where are you placing it? I thought about doing the same thing but my power is 70 cents a kilowatt so I don't get carried away with heaters. Got two pad heaters on my oil pan and one heater in the block. I'm going to build a well insulated hut for...

Best Review Yet for Kubota 850 Sidekick

I had an Arctic Cat Prowler 1000(a total piece of shit) that used a sprag bearing on the centrifugal clutch. It worked well for engine braking but a delicate component. The whole machine was a toy and makes me appreciate the Kubota. The Cat was fast, but not so much when I was pulling it home...

Takes a very firm brake application to relieve the hydrostat to shift. I had the same problem as you until I learned to be very aggressive with the brake. Not much of a problem for me now. The old machines had a control on the dash to relieve the pressure. They were the ones with the 3 speed...

I usually fill when I get to the last two bars. Takes about 6 gallons. As you correctly posted, these things are easy on fuel. I burn #1 because that is the only fuel available here, but I plan on shipping in some #2 for summer use and start blending as it get's colder. At six bucks a gallon, an...

Another thing I failed to mention. If you are using Ultra Low Sulfur fuel, add a good lubrication additive. Not all winter fuel additives give enough lubrication for ULSD. The removed sulfur served as a vital lubrication for the injection system. Suppliers are willy-nilly about adding...

My Kubota is my only transportation in the village and needs to start at all temps. The machine sits outside, I have no shed. I recommend Mobil 1 synthetic oil. We've cold tested many oils at -40 or colder and have found issues with other oils being too stiff when cold. Kubota has a "cheezy"...
