    Tire Sealant

As a mechanic, I've found tire goo to really cause issues trying to hold a patch, not to mention the extra work to clean the stuff off everything. I agree with plugs, but they are a leak looking for a place to happen and should be repaired. Of course I've had a plug in mine all winter, but I...

    Hand Throttle Install on x900

Same here. I use it a lot. Kind of a pain in the rear to have to hold on to it. Also would like to relocate it somewhere on the dash, like aircraft throttles.

Could someone provide me a measurement of your dump cylinder

About 6 hrs of sunlight and a couple hrs of civil twilight depending on cloud cover.

Could someone provide me a measurement of your dump cylinder

The wiper is a pain. Constantly turning it on and off. Mama gets the short end of the stick as far as window coverage goes. She's a chronic "back seat driver" so the less she see's, the less she has to gripe about.

    Turbo for X900?

Different pistons. In the early years, when Cummins was turbocharging naturally aspirated engines, they changed to turbo pistons to lower compression ratios. Also piston coolers were being added at the same time, which required different pistons. After-cooling was added later, which become the...

    Turbo for X900?

There's more to turbocharging than just bolting one on. Compression ratios, after cooling, fuel settings, ect. I would love to get a few more ponies out my 1100, but not at the expense of engine reliability. A simple liter/HP ratio comparison with very dependable turbo engines say there is safe...

    RTV PLows

I got a quote on Kubota's v-plow when I bought my 1100C and I believe it included K-Connect. Close to 7 grand. Boss was 5 grand with some extra lighting. These are Fairbanks Alaska prices. Boss's quality is much better. The electrically run pump seems to work well on pickup trucks so I'm sure...

    RTV PLows

Search for "Kubota V Plow" thread on this site. Answers all your questions. Tried to link it and failed. Maybe some guru here can provide the link. I looked at the Kubota v-plow and found it to be more expensive and not near as well built as the Boss. I'm going with Boss at this point. Kubota...

    I Report...You Decide

He's a former Alaskan. Being little "out there" is normal for us. The question is...Do you have to be somewhat crazy to live in Alaska, or does living in Alaska cause a person to be somewhat crazy??

Has anyone split the throttle on their RTV?

A must have. Much better power control. Pull hand throttle wide open and then ease into the hydrostat with the foot feed. Very nice when going through deep snow.

    Tracks!! Tracks!! Tracks!!

Two things in Alaska I try not to pizz off. Grizzle bears and Mama. If the sled idea goes south, my only hope for survival would be making a run for Russia.

starting the kubota 1100 in cold weather

Ok, now the gloves come off. You, of all people, know better than mess with old farts. Especially old farts with frosty butts. Makes us cranky. Gonna throw that door wide open, the hell with the collateral damage. :boxing:
