I mowed and de-thatched last week. It was snowing yesterday so I don't expect too much mowing too soon. I need to aerate soon so I'll probably mow at the same time to chew up the branches and crud that landed on the lawn over the winter.

I think it's recommended to use Grade 70 - as others have mentioned. I bought 4 Grade 43's just in case I ever have to tow my tractor. I don't really ever expect to have to do it but just in case I bought the four chains. I have some straps too so I would probably chain and strap the crap out...

It's on my "to-do" list. It's pretty low-down though. ;)

For holes bigger than 1/2" you can use a metal cutting hole saw bit. I think they work better than conventional bits in many cases. You may also want to get some cutting oil at your hardware store. Look in the plumbing section. The oil helps a lot.

Nice work Quincy. I have an Agri-Fab style one that I tow behind. It seems to do the trick but is pretty messy on corners. It only takes a week for the mess to be washed away and it sure is good for the lawn. :thumb:

It would be interesting to see what happened if you switched back to standard diesel. I kind of wonder if the B100 just cleaned out your system and the benefits you are seeing are from the cleaning or if it really is the B100.

Sounds like good news Cali. It will be interesting to see how it works on your older tractor and if there are any seal issues. I've never run pure BioDiesel, I think the highest I ever ran was B20.

I used to run Bio-Diesel in my F250 a lot because there was a station that carried it on my way to work. The exhaust smell is much better. ;) I sold the F250 and my only diesel is my tractor and it doesn't use enough for me to drive the distance I would have to go to get BioDiesel so I don't...

I think that will be fine on your tractor. AFAIK, the only thing that having an underpowered tractor means is that you won't be able to meet the max output of the generator. However, I don't think you will be underpowered. That's the generator I would get for my 2615 and it only has 23 HP at...
