Some beautiful shots there. Thank YOU for your service. Mike was on his second deployment and made it to Kuwait when he fell ill. He spent 15 months in Iraq on the first tour, mostly in eastern Baghdad at Camp War Eagle. He had an adverse reaction to the anthrax vaccine and almost died. He was...

My View (Pictorial Thread of Home)

The tank is for emergency use. My wife and I are full time caregivers for out DAV son. He came home broken from Iraq in '06. At least we still have him with us. Anyway, we are on a community water system. Seems odd for this area, but that is how it was when we got here. Since the system is not...

My View (Pictorial Thread of Home)

Richard, your pics look like 'home'. I grew up in Missouri. First 18 years just north of the river at KC (in Riverside) and then the Ozarks for the next couple of decades. I was really surprised at myself when I fell in love with the desert. We DO have trees around our house which makes for nice...

OK, this is fun. Here's how to 'erect' a 3000 gallon water tank using a BX24. Pulley in the tree, rope from tractor to tank and pull. Note the cliff line in the background. And my best friend congratulating me on not breaking anything or killing myself. And, here's the view from on top...

    Planning bed rails for X1100C

LOL, I NEVER think of Las Vegas. I'm just about as far as you can get from Vegas and still be in Nevada. North central, just south of the point where Oregon and Idaho touch the Nevada border. We are at 5700 feet in the mouth of a canyon. Just below some high cliffs. The storms roll off the...

    Planning bed rails for X1100C

I ventured into the Arctic wind to get a few pics so I can start sketching this contraption. The wind blew all night, not much snow, but WIND was crazy. you can see some snow and bare spots. winter... Pics of the parts. I will have plenty to choose from. Now to make a good design...

Nice looking machine! It is too clean though.

    2016 RTV X1100C or Honda Pioneer 1000?

No argument... but $400 rebate is peanuts compared to the deal I got, AND to the deals other manufacturers offer. I'm happy no matter how it came out. Edited to add... I DID check the deals and offered cash. Same price.

    Planning bed rails for X1100C

So, on a nice morning, before the next storm arrived... I went digging in my junk yard. I found two frames from the folding shelter things. The square ones that you set up on a camping trip or over a grave... sigh... anyway... The legs are 1" square tubing. NOT heavy wall, but fine for what I...

Fury... unless you get a smoking deal from a friend who is a dealer. :blob_blue:

No where near as lazy as I am. I am worn out from looking at what you made! :respect:

    RTV900 Rear Fender extensions

Well, I think they are fine... but if you want suggestions... How about splitting a chunk of large diameter exhaust pipe, like every Dodge pickup owner has to install... and making the outside edges of the things rounded like the original plastic fender?

    Water leak

I may have discovered the source of the leak. Today I found that the roof bolts, the ones that hold the roof on and have the rubber blocks under them, may not be tight enough. There IS a hole through the roof for the light wires. I will be sealing mine with silicone when I install the lights...

    X1100C Driving Lights

I started to install the LED driving lights I bought on a recommendation from here. They are quite nice, $20 for the pair from Amazon. I had planned on making my own brackets using ideas found here too, but I discovered that the factory mounts that came with the lights are perfect. So, I decided...

    Planning bed rails for X1100C

I started working on a plan for bed rails for the new rig. Looking over the threads here gave me ideas so I started measuring for the metal cutting. I used cardboard and duct tape... what else? It seems there is more room than I thought. I won't have to bend any tubing to clear the window...

    Warranty ????

The doors and hinges are bolted on. I bet an adjustment will fix it. I've seen several little things on my new rig that aren't perfect, but I think I can fix them. Plastic shouldn't be part of a machine, IMO. I'll be posting pics of some problems and ideas for fixes in the future. Plastic is a...

    Antifreeze loss in reservoir?? X1100C

My BX24 tractor had a lower radiator hose that the factory messed up. The hose clamp was not completely on the hose. I was able to remove it, drain the system and replace the clamp in the right place.
