Well stated. I agree. Several farmers in my area use their Polaris Rangers to check cattle at distant locations. It's "legal" to drive them on public roadways as long as you are doing farmer chores. I live on a State paved hiway. They go by here several times a day at speeds of 50mph+...

In the above description "CVT Plus Transmission", I'm guessing belt drive. Little late to ask this question. Is Kubota replacing the RTV or adding to the lineup???

I'm happy they are moving into that market. Problem I see is someone will buy one thinking it's a workhorse like the RTV and it will fail. Then the brand name will lose some credibility. I'd consider trading my Yamaha Rhino for one. But I wouldn't give up the RTV in the process. :)

Sorry for the distraction, I use Power Service white bottle. If I watch for the sale at the local Farm Supply store I can buy it for $12 per bottle. Bottle treats 250 gallons of fuel. My main reason for usage is Winter protection from gelling.

Were you the member that had problems with the electronic fuel shutoff solenoid? Were the symptoms similar to this?

Taking a whole new direction aren't they. Trying to compete with Polaris, etc. I'm curious. My closest dealer is about 40 miles away. When he gets one I'll go take a look.

In regards to the filters. If you put on new filters empty, and you remove them now after running the engine and they are still empty, it's almost certainly a prime problem. If you remove one and it's full of oil now the pump has primed itself.

Yes, I totally agree about the plugged filter. I also agree that the picture might not be telling us the truth. Only way to know is your finger suggestion. If you find "chunks" of shattered metal then we have a large problem. I guess if I was going down the plugged filter path I'd swap...

It appears the drain plug is covered with pieces of shattered metal? Is that correct? I'm talking about measurable pieces rather than metal "dust"?? If so, there's been a mechanical failure of some kind. Probably the noise heard when the problem first arose. Fresh fluid and filters won't...

I believe his discovery of metal confirms that a bearing or something similar has failed. This would create the metal (fragments) being a little longer (length) than expected. I believe the failure is going to be catastrophic and not simply "wear".

This is totally an assumption on my part. HVT was working fine. Rear differential failure which resulted in a destroyed diff case. Rear differential was replaced, retaining the original trans and HVT. The KISS principle would suggest that the drive mechanism between the trans and the rear...

We don't know which we are talking about yet in regards to the problem. I'm inclined to think it's pump related or somewhere in that early part of the drive system.
