    Tractor stuck :(

Yup. The only time I have ever had a leak was on a 84 Taurus. I hadn't noticed that the filter gasket came off the filter. I have a 2003 F-150 with a 5.4. Never had a problem reaching the filter. Like I said, though, I never use a wrench to install one. I've never had a leak, and 95% of the...

    Stolen Peaches

A woman was caught stealing a can of peaches from a local super market. When her case came before the judge, he asked her "How many peaches were in the can"? To which she replied, "Six, I believe, Your Honor". "Well, then", the Judge spoke, "I sentence you to a day in jail for each peach - a...

    Tractor stuck :(

Hmmmmm....What year of Ford truck do you have? I've nevr had a problen changing the filter! Of course, I NEVER use a wrench to tighten them, either...... We got 4" of new snow Friday night. About half melted Saturday, and the rest should be gone by tonight. I have a miserable cold, so I don't...

    Ford Gas Cap Exchange

Okfound out a little more - New Holland changed the way they handle warranty items and older SB. The dealer might not actually know the SB is still active. They might need to contact their Regional Service Rep and do what New Holland calls a "WIT". This SB is for replacing all gas caps on FORD...

    Ford Gas Cap Exchange

There is a Service Bulletin 1993/10-T2 that has been out for several years. Anyone know anything about it? It is supposed to cover all Ford GAS engine tractors from 1939 on up. Several guys back east have gotten new caps, but my local dealer says it's no longer in effect. Anyone else heard...

Proposed Legislation to give Government control of all water !

Try living in Colorado. You cannot LEGALLY collect rain water in a coffee can (or ANY such device), if you plan on using it for personal use (water the lawn, water house plants, water the DOG, etc.....

    Mail Box Destruction

Yeah, that's only a SMALL part of the Fed mandated things that state DOTs have to do. How about profile every inch of every highway in your state - EVERY YEAR?

    farmpro

The point being, he had to leave the FEL up ALL THE TIME because there was ALWAYS something wrong with it! Sure there are good and bad of any brand - but then again, I wouldn't want a John Deere, (or Kioti) either!

    Mail Box Destruction

Yeah, but just be warned - your actual mailman might not have a say in the matter. HIS boss DOES. Even the state Highway Department does. If you live on a secondary, then the DOT can inforce the law FOR the USPS. I worked for a state DOT - and was tasked with the duty of photograpghing every...

    farmpro

Neighbor has a 35 (?) HP Farmpro (Jinma) that he bought for $4500, used. It's a 2007 model. It works fine, when it works. Parts aren't hard to come by, but he's needed a few of them. He's taken to parking the thing with the FEL up on a support, incase something happens and he needs to get into...

    kioti vs MacCormick

Pick the best one that fits YOU. IMHO, I'd stay clear of the Kioti. There is a dealer about 25 miles from me. He sells several of the 20/30 machines to yuppies, and a FEW larger ones to farmers. I have 3 friends who bought 45's - all three got rid of them within 6 months in favor of better...

    Mail Box Destruction

Well guys - actually, the USPS has a say in this! No matter what state you live in, if the USPS doesn't like your mailbox, then they can refuse to deliver to it! It is also a Federal law that rural mailboxes conform to standards, especially along Federally funded highways, roads and secondaries...

    I'm A Cattle "Rancher", Now...

We've been raising goats for several years, but this morning we brought two necomers onto the farm. One is a 3 month old Hereford/Charolais heifer, the other is a blind 6 month old Angus/Hereford bull. "Stevie Wonder", as the lady we got him from called him, will end up in the freezer next...

ANY SUGGESTIONS: HAY BALER & MOWER/CONDITIONER

In my crumbled opinion, you can't buy a better MoCo then a New Holland. They "float" better then any other brand. I picked up an old, noisey NH 269 for $300 last fall and LOVE it. I had been using it for 4 years before that.

It's amazing what goats will chow down on! Cows eat the good stuff, goats eat everything else....

    Another New Guy...

Just found this site this afternoon, so decided to register and see what is going on. We have a 40 acre Goat Ranch that we're trying to put together. Both my wife and I grew up on the farm, and love the fact we have had one of our own for the past 10 years.
