I Bought an Old Rusty Piece of Junk Yesterday

Looks like a good one find Torin. You want to see rusty. I'll have to post pics of my Allis Chalmers bailer. If you take any of the teeth off would you post or pm me a pic of one. I can't find any that are a direct replacement for mine. I have to use some for a Vermeer, they aren't as wide as...

Thanks, it's a 48 horse. I thought about getting the next one up. A 56 or 58 horse what ever the TT60 is, but those have have the 3 cylinder motor and the two I've heard were louder than the 4 cylinders.

    Post driver (pusher)

I'll take some pics for sure. I've watch a few people use the bucket to push t pole into the ground before but the pole wants to slip and then gets bent. Or some one has to stand in no mans land, close to the bucket holding the pole... Hoping they don't get hurt.

As soon as I get my welder carb rebuilt I'm going to start customizing my loader bucket. Of course some hooks on top for chains. And I'm going to place a short length pipe on the back of the bucket to take care of the many t post I'm getting ready to replace on my land. Hope to get the welder...

Thanks again for the great welcome guys. My first tractor was a 8N, I'd worked the dog out of that thing. There was a lot of times I wished I had it back when that deere laid down on me. The bigger models may be curved, mine are pretty standard. The last picture you can see the old deere in...

Thank you X 2, I had convinced myself for several years that working on the old JD to keep it going was better than making payments. But the working on had turned into greater amount of time than working with. And so many of the parts it needed were N/A as JD puts it. I like to mess with old...

    New Boomer 8N

That's a good looking tractor, it got some nice meaty tires on it. It doesn't look like the type of tractor to last like the first generation of 8N's. My first tractor was a 8N, hard to kill those things!

New to the forum, just started looking for a tractor forum to gather info. Last time I looked which was a few years ago the only one around was the Antique one. I had a 2010 JD for several years, and I'm very happy we just went separate ways. I have picked up a brand new, New Holland.

How'd you find Net Tractor Talk?

Did a Yahoo search: tractor forums This was one of the ones that came up. I had searched for tractor forums a few years ago and there wasn't much of a choice then. Good to see there are some around now.
