    First mow of the season

I finally did my first mow on Saturday, was a bit chilly not too bad though. I really wanted to do it a week ago, but that didn't work out. I wanted new blades, but hadn't made it to the dealer to get them. So finally went on Tuesday. Tried to install them Wednesday, they didn't fit. So I took...

Hopefully picking up a Zero Turn Saturday

Not sure how I missed this thread. Congrats Jerry, I am so jealous of you right now. There for awhile I was worried that you got rid of the New Holland. BTW, I'm still using my original New Holland battery. I'm now at 9 years old.

New Blades and What a Difference!!!!

ugh, just went out to install the new blades. They sold me the wrong blades. The hole is too small. Guess I'll be going back tomorrow at lunch.

New Blades and What a Difference!!!!

Just picked up another set of blades as last year when I was mowing I was leaving more than I was cutting. It looks as though with the high-lift blades I'll get about 2 years out of them vs. 4 for the original set that had the standard lift. I started looking on line for some cheaper...

    Old Sears Suburban SS12

I've got Dad's old Sears Suburban SS12. It is in pretty decent shape, even though I used and abused this machine for several years before I bought the NH. I don't remember exactly what happened, but I remember it wouldn't start or something. This was back in 2002. Dad took the tractor back to...

    New store....I can't wait...

They are finally open:dancing: They opened Thursday and I think their grand opening next Friday - Monday. I took a quick browse through. Lots of stuff. They completely filled that old Wal-Mart. Some things didn't seem quite as cheap as what they did on their website, but by the time you figure...

    New store....I can't wait...

Man, we gotta be getting close. They have their sign painted on the front of the building, but not on the actual sign out front yet. Looks like the store is stocked, but they have tarps up over the front windows. There are tons of utility trailers out front. They also have a ton of trees out in...

    Ford Tractor Alternator wiring Diagram

Sorry that I can't help you, but welcome to the forum. Have you tried looking at Messick's to see if they have anything that could help?

    New store....I can't wait...

In the old Wal-Mart building in Circleville there was a little junk/outlet store. They sold a lot of Northern Tool and Craftsman returns. I got a few bargains there including a set of Pat's Easy Change for my neighbor for $50. Anyway, shortly before Christmas they announced they were closing the...

Thought I had done broke it...

Jerry has it. I just put the range in neutral. I love the hydro transmission. I don't think I do what I do near as fast or easily with a standard tranny.

Thought I had done broke it...

Funny thing was, I was most scared when Monica was pulling me back to the barn. I don't think she realizes how fast 15 - 20 MPH is on that tractor w/o any suspension and you get the fluid in the back tires in "harmony" and to make it fun, since it wasn't running almost no steering.:17875:

Thought I had done broke it...

Nope, I call it pushing it to the limits. I always tell Monica that if I didn't get stuck at least once, I wasn't cutting all of the weeds that I could because I probably could've gone a bit farther.:dancing: Can't blame a guy for trying :drive2:

Thought I had done broke it...

I gave up on worried about people seeing me. We are on the corner right beside a major highway, so everytime I'm stuck seems like everyone knows it because they saw it. When I started cutting the other day, F-I-L asked me if I was gonna get stuck. My reply was, "I think that is a given that I...

Thought I had done broke it...

That would be a regular Pepsi my dear friend. Haven't had a beer - or any drink for that matter since probably 2001. :drink: I can probably count on my fingers the number of beers I've had in my lifetime. Just never did like the taste of it. I did like mixed drinks though, but once Monica got...

Thought I had done broke it...

Yes, I had to have her pull me out twice from being down in the ditch/creek and then once when the log went up into it. That is less times than normal :whistling: Yes, that was 4wd w/ rear diff lock. The way the weight shifts when I back down into the bank, the fronts don't do a lot -...

Thought Jacey was talking about me....

Just wanted to say, I'm happy to report, once I got everything back together, I've had no more issues with the mower deck. Looks like my fixes all worked.

Thought I had done broke it...

I did some bush hogging/rough cutting/slashing whatever you want to call it this weekend. Of course, what I calling bush hogging some people refer to it as land clearing. I managed to only get stuck twice this time - both on the house side of the creek/ditch. I've attached pictures of...

    rubber boot rotting

I don't have a TYM, but my New Holland's did as well in just a few months. New Holland replaced it under warranty. The replacement still looks like new at now 7 years old.

It went click click click, backfired, and died....

The new clutch came in yesterday. After the sun went down, I was able to put it on. I had the mower up on ramps so I had plenty of room. I first put a little bit of wheel bearing grease on the inside of the bearing where it slides on the shaft. I then connected the electric wire and made sure it...
