    Whatta ya throw paint with?

I have a 60 gallon compressor I bought at TSC with a in-line air dryer (the type that uses a toilet paper roll looking filter) it isn't the best and is the weak link in my system. If I was painting more I would get a much better air dryer system. We have painted several cars (classic muscle cars...

    "Cheap" vs. "Expensive"

Most everything is craftsman, but I also have some snap-on, mac, and matco. I'd prefer snap on but I don't make a living with my mechanics tools.

    Whatta ya throw paint with?

I have three guns. I have a old Devilbiss siphon type that is "retired" a Matco HVLP ( $150.00 ish) and a Devilbiss HVLP (around $400.00) I use the Matco for primer and to apply wood finishes and the Devilbiss for spraying top coat/clear coat.

Okay, I have just rechecked my options and I am in the instant email notification mode. I also did not receive any notification to the last post/s. One thing I thought of, when I registered to this site, I never got any email notification that I needed to click on to activate my account. Does...

    NTT email notifications

I'm one of the new users, no email notification of PM or topic responded to for me here on this end. I had that problem once on another forum, I found out that I needed to clean out my cookies etc, shut off the computer and try again. Guess I'll give that a try, it can't hurt I guess. If...

What is the biggest thing you've towed/drug

One thing that finally stopped me was the pulling sled when I took my 5020 to the state fair back around '82. The 5020 pulled a JD 230 disk that was 22' wide and a 24 ' IH vibra shank (model 45?) and a 13 shank glencoe soil saver in 5th gear around our farm. I'd say the soil saver made the...

    Our first restoration

Between dad and I we have 15 antiques (mostly his) and only one time have we ever put any tactors in a parade. (1999) We had 3 Minneapolis Molines a U, RTS and a Z that we drove down mainstreet for the local parade. We get asked all the time to bring some of them to the tractor shows, but so far...

    Our first restoration

My dad and I found this old rusted unstyled JD "BR" out in a field one rainy afternoon. It was in pretty tough shape . We brought it home in the shop and began work to bring it back to life. As you can see the head was missing and one piston, so we found a "donor" tractor and scavenged...

It's time to ask that question! :)

There are a few around here that decorate their tractors with lights and have them by the road. Couple of guys have decorated their combines and had flashing lights on the tires to give the illusion of them moving. This year is the first time I am not putting lights on the house eaves and...

So what do you guys do?

Up until I was 30 I farmed with my dad and brother full time on the family farm. The past 20 years I have been building peoples dream homes, garages and shops. I also have a full shop of quality wodworking tools to build custom kitchen cabinets, vanities and furniture.

    Michigander sayin Hi.

I have a 1966 John Deere 3020 row crop. A 1944 John Deere B and an unstyled John Deere BR. The antiques are something that I do with my dad, he has restored 12 or so antiques (various brands) since he retired in 1994 from farming. We farmed 1640 acres and rented an additional 400, I have...

    Michigander sayin Hi.

Figured my first post should be one to say hello from snow covered Michigan. Wish we had some of that warm weather back from last summer.
